Level 89 loses to a Level 83

I just lost to a level 83 in clan wars 1 v 1. wtf?

My stats: 71 attack, 81 Strength, 61 Defence - 89 cmb

His Stats: 60 something attack, 72 Strength, 69 Defence - 83 cmb

I was trashed he killed me. Then I came back full health he had some damage and he killed me once again. I didn't even bring him to half health on 2nd try.
This was pure melee fight with full rune. I think he was using accuracy ammy and I was using str ammy. He fuxing owned me. wtf?!?!?!? and I beat a level 72 but he got me past half health by the time I killed him.

I thought I would own if I kept my stats in a sequence. Str 10 above attack. Attack 10 above defence. Str 20 above defence. wtf is goin on?

He did not use melee protect, could have used strength and attack boosts but I did the exact same thing.

 

Maybe he is just better.

Did you pot? His defense is a lil higher but still shouldn't beat you twice...

 

well he beat me a total of like 5 times i beat him 3 i think. I potted once but 81 str is my norm i potted to 92 while killing the 40-60s. It was a 3 v 11 war in 1 v 1 zone.

Its either luck or he ODed on pots

 

Well his defence is higher and he might've been potted too.

 

He prayed on you son. The prayer defense= like reg def pot.

Well for one those stats don't look right... I think you misjudged his stats. He's significantly lower in all but one stat and yet he is only 6 levels lower.

But I may be wrong. He probably prayed to all and it just so happens that the coin flipped in his favor.

 

60% (or probably more) of Runescape is based on luck. If your stats are within a small to medium range (10-15 levels) of your opponents, luck will generally win the match.

 

TBH back in wilderness days i lost to a couple of lvl 30s and i was level 70 or so. So gg.
