Ikov 2 - The Return

Note * - This is a advertisement thread, yet the server is not online. We are currently working hard on the server and will be posting daily updates on the forums until we are ready for beta testers. We want to get the word out, and this seems to be the easiest way.

I'm happy to announce that we are relaunching Ikov.

Ikov 2 is an update that will change Ikov quite a bit, we even have renamed the server due to it, hence Ikov-2.com. These changes include a multitude of things: new management, improved combat, bossing, UI upgrades, and much more.

Initially, we began creating Ikov 2 as a project not having any knowledge of what it would become. We have by far surpassed many of the servers that are currently out there, and will continue to emulate the original Ikov. We don't have much left to accomplish asides from the daunting Queen Black Dragon, a few quests, and construction. We will be posting development logs once every week once we begin to grow a player base. Currently, this server is being kept quiet until it is ready to undergo basic beta testing.

I hardly think it matters if we are the original management or not. When we launch you will see the server is equal or even surpassed our predecessors. I recommend staying tuned.

 

I'll keep an eye out for ya. 18 hours until release.

 

Much longer than that sadly. We are planning launching in the middle of September.

 

Sad to see such a distant release, I'll join up and check it out when September drops then.

 

I agree, but when the server launches you will see the immense amount of work that was put in.

Ikov is impossible to duplicate mate, Rene's combat system was the most complicated piece of development I've ever seen as a developer. That server will never reach the hype it had before simply because Rene will never touch JavaScript ever again, sorry man.

 

Ikov wasn't even built in "Javascript" nor is any RSPS. Nor was the combat system that special, it was the Arrav combat base that was used and beefed up to be more accurate to RuneScape's. We won't need Rene to ever touch "JavaScript" again because our developers can do just as much.

 

how about making something original instead of trying to cash in on someone else's success.
