Powerbot?

I'm more or less a lurker around here, and I have noticed topics regarding Powerbot stealing accounts, or something along those lines. Is this problem fixed, or should I stray away from it?

 

Well i've been using powerbot for about a month and i'm still using it and my accound hasn't been hacked. But there are also rumors out there that the keylogger doesnt work on Macs which is what i have. That's all i can tell you.

 

Yes you should stop using it and change your pass and set a pin if you don't have one.

 

not a keylogger its when u save ur pass and user in the client it gets sent to the owner but i personally wouldn't risk it, id rather buy a bot use it to make a bit of cash sell the cash, and boom i just got the bot for free

 

I think it is, but I would wait another month or so just to see things get cleared up.

 

honestly its shocking how people don't learn their lessons, they did the same thing on kbot and on rsbot.org, why u think they shut it down the sites, it wasn't because of lawsuits because if it was you can find every lawsuit in history on google and for some reason Jagex Ltd. v. rsbots doesnt appear anywhere or anything even similar appears, the only ones you find for jagex are where banks sued them and when they sued a gold selling and some private servers.

Trust me don't use these bots hes not a dumb ass he knows how to make money, powerbot will go offline and his excuse will either be "problems with jagex, or mass DDoS and he opens a new forum which is where the new bot will appear"

stick to payed scripts you can file fraud against a company, but you won't win against rsbot which the owners know because majority of the money collected is considered a donation

 

And in your world, did they not take Impsoft to court either?

 

Rsbots never been to court, they simply got scared by jagex, if they took it to court they wouldn't have been shutdown only have to pay a royalty fee such as rsbots.net for usingthe "Rs" name which is copyright infringment

edit: i only found the proof of warning no court case. o yea by the way you wanna trust powerbot pfft have fun you know who took it over after Speljohan left it? take a guess who the parent company is

im pretty sure gold4rs has a high reputation for scamming accounts and money enjoy playing with the big company

You should change you pass anyway. If you let the client log in for you then your account is at risk. If you didn't type your password in anywhere but the Runescape client then you should be fine.
