    2013-2014 Premier League

So, it seems we have a fair few football followers here. Let us get to know a bit about how we view the premiership. I still know it is early in the transfer window but I would like to see everyone's top 4 predictions and their predictions for the team they support IF they are not a top 4 team. Please, reasons behind your posts, not just a list.

    1) Man City
    2) Chelsea
    3/4) Arsenal
    3/4) Man United

So, with 3 of those teams bringing in new managers, it is going to be a really interesting start to the season.
Man City have already brought in a heap of world class players, offloaded some of the baggage from last season (Tevez gone, Ballotelli going mid season) and I just think Pellegrini will get it right this season. I see them winning the league by over 10 points.

The return of the "great one" will bring some glory back to Chelsea (Possible FA Cup or Champions League?) but they have such a young team. 2nd place would be a great finish for them after last year. Need to bring in a new striker and get rid of Torres or Ba. At least the football media will enjoy Mourinho coming back and so will all of us who love to watch his interviews.

Arsenal or Man United. They will make up the big 4. Arsene has promised to spend big but let us see what happens. If he makes a marquee signing or two, they WILL finish above United. If Jack Wiltshire stays fit, they have a WORLD CLASS ball playing midfielder in the middle. This guy is the most exciting prospect for the English game in a long time. This is Moyes first BIG club job and it will take him a while to settle in. Don't get me wrong, United will be up there for years to come and Moyes will do a great job, just don't think this is the year for them.

I personally support Newcastle. If we bring in a couple of strikers (Gomis and Bent hopefully) and a bit of cover at the back, we should finish top half. IT is a shame to see such a great club fighting at the bottom of the league. I doubt Pardew will get the sack but once the ship is steady (hopefully after this season) we can bring in a top manager, have to wait and see. STILL wishing for European football but that is what screwed up the last campaign.

Sorry for the wall of text. If you read this, you must love football as much as me.

    1) Chelsea
    2) Man City
    3) Man Utd
    4/5) Tottenham
    4/5) Arsenal

Chelsea first as they have a lot of talents and Mourinho as their coach.
Man City second because they bought a ton of world class players, as usual.
Man Utd will end 3rd this season as it's first big team Moyes is part of. I'm sure they will end up higher next season. (2nd, 1st).
Tottenham 4th if Bale stays, they always fight with Arsenal over the 4th place, I think this is their year.
If Bale leaves Tottenham, Arsenal will finish fourth as their are going to spend big this year, as Wenger said.

    1. Man U
    2. Man City
    3. Chelsea
    4. Tottenham - I still think Bale stays until it actually doesn't happen.

Yes, I am a Man U fan, but I still see them winning the league. I don't think they're done getting players in the transfer window. While it may not be Fabregas or Bale, they can still add some good players. I like the addition of Zaha and think he and Van Persie create the most lethal combination in the Premier League. I view Man City as the biggest threat to the Red Devils. I don't trust Chelsea to be consistent enough throughout the year to win the league. While Man City and Chelsea are just as talented as Man U, even with the absence of Fergie I don't see a huge drop off. Moyes led Everton to a very impressive mark and Everton is a lot less talented than Man U. Moyes may feel the pressure, but I think he will do well. I do not see Man U having a phenomenal showing in the Champions League, I think Chelsea is better suited for a long run. However, teams are usually mystified by Manchester United and fold in games by default versus them. This creates a lot of free points and puts all of the pressure on Chelsea + Man City to win the head to heads vs Man U.

I'd have to say Chelsea to top the league this season, they've made a wise choice bringing back Jose. I can see him re-grouping the squad and It would seem that a few promising signings are on their way.

Being an Everton fan, I'd have to give us a top 10 finish, even under Martinez. We've made some relatively decent signings this 'Summer', bringing in Kone, Alcaraz; Deulofeu.

But like all Evertonians, we just wish to finish above the red side of Merseyside

Wouldn't mind seeing this tbh, would be a welcome change from the Man Utd domination of recent years. Would be even juicier if Man Utd dropped out of the top 4.

I could easily see Man U not winning the league but out of the top 4 ... not a chance.

That won't happen. I doubt they will win this year but if Moyes can do so well at Everton with the players he had and the money he had, there is not a chance Man United will stop being a dominant force. Not THE dominant force, but a dominant force.

Ferguson spent years getting Moyes ready for this job you realise? He helped him a lot when he was at Everton and Preston North End.

It's hard to make any surefire predictions without the transfer window being completed. I know teams like to say they won't let a player go but any player will go for the right price. If Man U can get Fabregas I'm loving their chances to repeat as champs.

Moyes won the community shield already which is more trophies than Arsenal in 8 years.

Lol'd so hard. Thank you for that man xD.

I don't really disagree with anything he said though, even as a Man U fan I see it being a struggle for them. I do see them finishing at least 3rd though.

I honestly think City looked the best at the weekend.

Chelsea relaxed after scoring the second and Hull really threatened in the last few minutes with such a week side.

    Arsenal, just lol....

Man United may have scored 4 goals but the game could have been a lot closer. Although it seems to suggest Moyes transition won't be like many expects.

Man City, although playing against 10 men for thalf of the match, played a beautiful passing game. Ben Arfa could do nothing for us either and he looked like he was in the mood. The injury to Kompany could cause some problems though.

Liverpool looked like they could break into the top 5 again.

I can't even remember the Spurs game :p

They won 0-1 against Crystal Palace without Bale playing.

Yeah you're right man (Add My Msn). I do appreciate what Scott said too because I think Michu is a class player, he made it real close to giving Swansea a lead. And Dangelo is right the 4-1 mark was a little misleading. However, with Robin Van Persie, you always have a chance.

obvious City fan....I would rather have a 4-1 win away against 11 men Swansea (fantastic team) than a 4-0 win at home against Newcastle against 10 men. Swansea are actually very good team and therefore are difficult to play in Liberty stadium. It's a lot easier playing Newcastle therefore the "beautiful passing game" is easier..
