    This guy knows whats up.

Also I'm happy with the way I've lived my life. Maybe live more in the moment but that's something I'm still working on. Sorta in a shitty place in my life but even with how it took a bad turn I think it's life variance and nothing in my control to be perfectly honest.

Go back to myself in 2009 and tell me to buy as much BTC as I can afford. And resell them in November 2013. I would be a rich man!

Start saving your money, stop buying vehicles. I wasted way too much time/money on vehicles in my younger years.

Learn programming from young. Spend thousand of hours on it. It's so relevant in today's world and it could easily net you a $100,000 job.

Did you enjoy it? I have spend lots of time on a couple cars and money but it's definitely positive life decisions and has improved my morale which I would never change.

Can you elaborate on that further? I'm not sure why spending money on a couple of cars is worth it considering that you are using it to travel from place to place, unless you're filthy rich. I would definitely save up that money and use it for investment purposes, like in housing.

    1) I don't see cars solely as a means from getting from point A to point B. I enjoy the driving experience because I am a car enthusiast. Maintaining, cleaning and modifying my first car provided be many hours enjoyment with friends. I have a vehicle whose primary purpose is for pulling my fishing boat from place to place and travelling through rougher terrain which is part of my favorite pass time (fishing).

    2) The main problem with investing in housing is at a younger age you either don't know where you'll end up so buying a house is a large commitment. I cannot realistically say I'll be buying a house in the next 5 years due to the dynamic nature of my future employment (decommisioning nuclear power plants) obviously I'll be moving from place to place every 2-3 years so buying a permanent residence isn't a viable option.

Also they say money can't buy happiness but it does allow you to buy experiences where if you didn't have money you wouldn't be able to afford. That's why I said there's a lot of life equity in money. Spending it to improve your life experiences will naturally bring happiness.

That's a fair point that I have not considered about. But that is certainly an expensive hobby that I wouldn't consider myself going into. I see it as a wasted opportunity cost but to each his own. It's like I don't get why people don't take the effort to quit a certain habit like smoking or consuming alcohol when they know it's setting themselves back monetary by so much, it's astronomical.

There are also other ways of investment that you could consider, not only housing. There are people buying houses solely for renting out just so that they earn a passive income, but that's just one of the way. But if you're still young and constantly needing to move (which do not really apply to citizens in my country), then I guess that's not really an ideal investment of your money.

I agree that spending money to enhance your life experience is considered a good investment, but spending it wisely is another issue. To see the world doing all sorts of crazy things? Sure. To spend it on your passion? Maybe. It's all about perspective.
