But I'm not sure it would be a good idea. I mean people going "Lemme check Sythe for the price". Would make people think they misspelled Scythe for some reason. I mean why not, but who is willing to put in the effort and possibly have it to go to waste.

Zybez also has a trading section, basically where you find the price. Now would you choose to trade on Sythe, or Zybez where you know there are hundreds browsing for items. Compared to Sythe, doubt it would be hundreds. And anyone that tells someone else about Sythe on RS would be looked down upon by assuming they RWT. And Zybez got a green light from Jagex when Jagex posted about it in the front page.

 

Didn't you think that we'd get filled with anti-RWT kids who are going to hate, spam and try and destroy the forum, reporting RSN's that are related to the site?

 

The amount of hate would be unreal.

 

No support I think it would bring in a lot of hate and drama to the site more then what already exists.

 

Why do you guys think it will bring in hate? The price guide could be a seperate part of sythe completely, people don't have to use the black market when they're here on sythe? I would support this notion..

Because it takes an endless amount of effort and time - which most of us don't have. There has been plans for a Sythe Runescape Wiki and Dial has RuneBTS under development - but at the end of the day you need a dedicated content team to update it 24/7..

 

There's over 1000 people online right now, it doesn't seem like the forum's having much trouble attracting and keeping members. I mean yeah runescape is losing popularity which could hurt sythe seeing as most of the community comes here for the runescape black-market. Still, making a price guide would take a ton of time and it'd attract the wrong group of people to the site (those against RWTing, botting, etc.).

Correct unless there's an incentive to start the project (money, etc) it's going to die. Other sites don't need that incentive because people are always willing to join an already successful project.

 

Well, let's put a team together to run it then, people who are volunteering to keep it up.

 

We don't need a price guide imo, we're too late and zybez works fine. people aren't going to come to sythe just for a price guide.
