    RSBuddy Experience Thread

I'm gettin pretty sick and tire of logging on every day to see "RSBuddy hacked me" type threads when none of these threads have any information that backs up that they were hacked. I personally have been hacked using scripts from powerbot a few months ago. I've lost over 120m to powerbot. Ever since my switch to RSBuddy I have never been hacked. I have 7 accounts with passwords saved to my RSBuddy account, Not a single one has been logged onto from an IP that I do not know of.

To stop the mass of posts I see about RSBuddy everyday it would be much easier for someone to rant or talk about your great experience of RSBuddy in one thread, that is why i'm making this. Please post if you have ever had good or bad experiences with RSBuddy.

If you suspect that you were hacked by RSBuddy please also supply a list of scripts that you were using from them.

this is just how I was with powerbot "I never got hacked everyone else must be liars" then I got hacked and saw the truth, anything is possible although rsbuddy is more trustable than powerbot it could happen, just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it's false

So that's why you're going around and spreading unproven rumors about how Rsbuddy is hacking people? You completely lack any objectivity.

"Yeah. They are more trustable, but it *could* happen, so it will/has happened"

As for the main topic of this thread; Rsbuddy is a great bot client. I have heard nothing but good things from people that have used the client. Thousands of people use it and post on their forums every day, all of them (unless they are leechers like I suspect this person to be) have good things to say.

Recently, Powerbot started doing some shady things. Guess who overtly informed all people about it? Yeah, Rsbuddy.

Rsbuddy has shown that it may be trusted. The few (sub 1%) of people posting about being hacked/scammed are the people that would normally get hacked/scammed without using Rsbuddy. Which is why it incenses me when people make accusations like this without any sort of evidence or proof, just to try and harm the reputation of the bot. The only thing they are doing is scaring away leechers and freeloaders that listen to these kinds of sensationalist stories of being "hacked by Rsbuddy."

I'm not saying you'll get hacked but it is a free bot and they could make way more money if they hacked everyone and took their gp.

I've been using RSBuddy for 5 solid months now. I've gotten 2 accounts to 85 Dung, 2 accounts to 99 Dung, my 1 def pure pure (100% botted) which achieved 80 Attack/82 Dung/99 Mining/Smithing/Magic/Strength/Ranged/Woodcutting/HP, and had over a net wealth of 1b+ on one of my mains, which had saved info to the client. Out of all that, never have I been hacked once. They have some of the best scripts I've ever used, and implementing them takes only one click. Although their anti-random could use some work, as one of my accounts was banned not being able to complete the Freaky Forester one..

As for hacking, the only way anyone will ever know this is when it's already too late. So, if you feel like you might get hacked, don't save your info to the client and you're safe.

I started using RSBuddy like a week ago, the scripts are quite good, but I don't see a reason to put in your password anyways, I only put info in on Nexus.

Powerbot never hacked anyone either. This hacking thing is such bullshit. The hacking that happend back in the day (even with ambiguity of exactly who was involved) was done by a third party.
Powerbot SCRIPTS have and still can hack people because the scripts aren't checked.

Not really, they could get in trouble with the law if they hacked people.

I've been using RsBuddy for 2 weeks and it has alot of great scripts and client itself. Personally, I find that RsBuddy is VERY trustworthy and those threads of RsBuddy hacking them is some bullshit.

I'm an avid Rsbuddy. Since their release, I've had no problems and no negative feedback of the bot and it's bot client. Only a little disappointed towards their recent downtime. Other than that, perfect botting comunnity.

I have been using it on my main since February, and there hasn't been a single hacking attempt thus far. So for all you non-believers and paranoid botters, there's your answer.

Are you serious? Just because it is a free bot does not mean they are out to hack people. You are wrong if you think that they aren't making any money from this project. Just go take a look at the user count of their premium scripts, and then come tell me that it's a 'free' bot. They are making way too much money to lose it all by hacking people.

As I said on another thread, Rsbuddy will have a greater chance of being "safe". This is because poor Paris does not have the ability to make any major client changes. He just owns the bot, and has people who "know how to" do it, this basicly makes it so if one of the scripters are mad, they could just f everyone over, until Paris can find someone to figure out whats wrong. Arbi on the other hand, has the ability, cutting out the middle man.

To be completely safe man, (which is a pain) but change your password before you bot, and thus afterwords.

Other than that, anything could happen, at any given time.

The way I see it is simple, don't bot with your mains unless your password is not in the system..

setup accounts specifically for botting purposes, at the end of the week or when ever you see fit, transfer the accumulated rsgp to a mule and if you lose the bot account who cares? you can make a new one in no time, you lose no money.

I hate it when people bitch and moan about getting hacked when there are safe and equally effective ways to pursue botting, plus the fact people use crappy bots which aren't half as safe as legit paid and or custom made bots.

you are 100% wrong, paris, one of the Admins at powerbot was hacking people who put their user and pass in the client.
