I don't know if I like my girlfriend?

Hello everyone, my name is Darcy. I've been dating this girl for a couple weeks now, but throughout that time have felt confused about my emotions towards her. Right after we started dating I told her I felt confused, and that things might not turn out well between the two of us.

I don't feel the desire to do nice things for her, like taking her out for dinner or buying her nice gifts. I don't feel that heart rush when I hold her hand or kiss her, it just feels "normal". But what's conflicting is that I get jealous when she hangs out with guys alone, and I also get nervous before doing small things like holding her hand for the first time that day.

Should I break up with her to save her the pain? I'm starting to get the feeling that I know why girls friendzone guys, because I think this is what it feels like to think about friendzoning someone. I sometimes think we'd be better off as just friends.

We enjoy spending time together and see each other quite a bit, and chat online almost every night, so it's not like something bad happened.

What do you all think?

 

Talk to her about how you feel, and the decide from there, this is a decision you should make yourself.

 

what you need to do to her is what you just did to us. Be honest. People HATE to hear honesty but love to know the person they are will is honest.

Just talk to her like you did to us and follow your feelings.

I just thought I'd add that recently I've been having these on/off phases, where sometimes I'll have no doubt in my mind that I like her unconditionally and didn't even WANT to check back to this thread because I thought I didn't need it anymore. Then today, I'm back to where I was when I made the thread. It's starting to get very strange.

 

I don't mean to be negative but if you're questioning things so early, I would get out before she gets the wrong impression and you break her heart even more.

Of course, you should talk to her but I have a feeling that you guys wouldn't be together after the talking; hopefully you guys can still be friends.

Was she the one who convinced you to start a relationship or did you do it yourself?

If you did it, then it'd be less of a problem for both of you guys, surely.

If she did it, it'd be harder on her of course but as I said, better sooner than later.

 

Before things get more serious you should end your romantic relationship with each other, you're doubting it a lot so you obviously don't want to continue it. You need to find a way of breaking things off with her without upsetting her.

 

Sounds like you two should just be friends.

 

Me and you are very similar I do the same thing just know that the good times will come again when the bad ones come
