Calling all Guitar Heros and Rockbanders

I have a Nintendo Wii and have about $120 to spend. I want to buy either guitar hero or rockband (not sure if I can afford rockband). I need your guys's advice on which to buy meaning, Guitar Hero 2,3,World Tour, or Rockband 1 or 2. When you make a suggestion I would appreciate it if you could back it up. Thanks.

 

i have had all 3, and guitar hero world tour is the best buy.

 

Why is world tour the best buy?

 

best co-ordination, graphics and all round game play, gh3 was good, but is is old, and rock band 1 is shocking , and rock bands 2's timing on the bass drum is wayy out.

 

What about Rockband 2?

 

the bass drum pedal is wayy out, and the microphone fails utterly, it only works 50% of the time.

 

Coming from someone who owns every guitar hero and rockband:

Guitar hero 3 (you can get the game and guitar used for $30 or $40

or

If you can afford it, Rockband 2 /w all instruments

 

Ok. Im also looking for a wifi compatible game. Are any of these games wifi compatible with the Wii?

 

Buy yourself a modchip for your Wii, then buy a Guitar Hero guitar and pirate the game.

Simpler solution.

 

guitar hero 3 + 4 are wifi, and so is rock band 2
rock band one isnt if i remeber rightly.

 

I'd just work more and wait for guitar hero 5 to come out. But, for now, get world tour.

Rock Band 2 is definitely better.

 

If you're a hardcore gamer, and intend on pushing your virtual guitar limits, I'd recommend the Guitar Hero Series over the Rockband series. To me it seems that Guitar Hero has a higher difficulty level. If you're a casual gamer and just want to play for fun, or want more variety in game modes (different instruments), I'd recommend RockBand.

 

Rock band because of the amount of DLC they have for the game. if you don't plan on ever downloading any more songs for the game go with GH:WT

 

-.- all the gamestops in my area are out of the guitar hero bundle so it looks like I have to just get the guitar or rockband.

Rock band 2 ftw, tbh.

 

Either rock band 2 or guitar hero 3. I wasn't too impressed with GH:WT but Rockband 1 is also good.
