Should this guy be refunded.

Under normal circumstances I would not post such a thing in the debate forums as it would do fine in off topic. But as I would much prefer the opinions of the more erm how would you say Mature and Educated sythe users I am posting it here.

This is a thread refering to the following trade between myself and N3w age pure (Michael).

Whereby as posted the agreed amount was 40M RSGP which N3w Age paid me first and PAID IN FULL!. Now what we don't see behind the scenes of this trade, is Michael forced me on msn to bring the original owner of the account in question into a conversation at which point he wanted to verify multiple facts.

Casey (the original owner) has not played runescape for years and as far as he was concerned the account was owned by my little sister which I gave to her as an xmas present and Casey was chill with. My intentions in this trade was to take 10M and sell it to send Casey 50USD as part of the trade. Michael however decided he wanted to offer Casey 50USD himself as thanks which he was supposed to mail him.

Now the trade between Michael and I finished at this date


As you can see he gave me the full amount I was asking for the account and I rendered the account to him as he even states. Now the problem is HE NEVER SENT CASEY THE MONEY.

This really pissed casey off as he spent a good 15hours sitting there going through old cd's and dvds trying to find recovery information for Michael (we've all been down the road of going through old dvd's well casey had to go through at least a hundred old back up cds and dvds.) he finally found his old recovery file. Waited two weeks and never received the money. At which point he recovered the account in question AND GAVE me the password to give to michael as a sign of good faith, basically saying look I didn't get your money I have the power to recover the account but I'm not going to if you actually pay me. Another couple weeks later no money casey said fuck it and recovered the account. Here is a conversation with michael from today. A MONTH AND A HALF after the trade was completed where he admits to not sending Casey the money. ETC.





Basically as you can see he and I'll quote him "failed to deliver" the money to casey and is now seeking a refund. Personally I see this as an attempt to scam. He had expected casey to hand over the recovery information while waiting for the 50USD in the mail which casey DID NOT DO, Michael paid the first half, got the goods and DID NOT pay the second half AND ADMITS to having not paid it. To me that is an attempted scam on a 50/50 trade. But then I have my own biased opinion on michael.

(-I met michael gave him a chance doing my FC which I trusted him with, then reworked his whole thread simply for a refund of my firecape. At which point we agreed on him paying me 30M to do some graphics for his thread and a website, he told me he would pay me in two weeks. So I did all the graphic work. A week later he says he doesnt want the graphics AFTER ID DONE THE WORK. As you can see in my mind he owes me 30M either way which is why my opinion is biased against him, especially after all the help I gave him trying to get him started on sythe only to have him be a douche and stab me in the back. Anyways it's off topic but I thought I'd let people know why I'm so anal about this.)

ALSO it just so happens that the week after paying me in full for the account Michael received a pure from his friend which in all truth owns this account. And it would seem that only after receiving that pure he no longer wanted the account. (understandable but not my problem.)

This is why I have brought it to the good people in the debate forum. SHOULD HE BE REFUNDED his 40M? Look over the facts first and then respond and vote on the forum (votes THAT ARE ANONYMOUS WILL NOT BE COUNTED.) IE please post yes or no so that we know what you voted, the only reason why I'm adding the poll is to make a cumulative amount easier to read off. But If I have to start keeping a clear cut vote of yes and no based only on post responses I will.

Anyways.

-Michael Agrees to pay for account.
-Michael wants to bring original owner into it an agrees to pay him an additional 50USD.
-michael pays first half to me
-Michael receives account
-Michael got a better account from a friend.
-Michael DOES NOT pay second half to original account owner
-Account is recovered, but willing to finsh deal if second half of payment is received.

IS MICHAEL ENTITLED TO THE FIRST PAYMENT AS A REFUND? Yes or no?

Thanks for your help in this matter, I really want some insightful posts if you are going to say he deserves to be refunded tell me why. If you are going to say he does not also say why. Allow me to explain I may be angry but i am also a logical and reasonable person and am willing to weight different arguments to see if I should refund him or not, but I will not do so lightly and will need some compelling arguments in order to do so.

Also noteworthy I AM NOT making this post behind Michael s back and AS SOON as it is posted he will be sent the link to post his version if he wishes. I also TOLD him to report me under report a scammer if he truly thinks he has been scammed. Let this topic serve as my justification against any thread he starts against me.

TJ TJ TJ this is in no way shape or forum my cry out to sythe because I got scammed, if you had even read the thread you would have realized in truth I lost nothing.

I posted this in the intellectual forum because I wanted intelligent views on the situation, it did not break any forum rules, nor was it in any way offensive. I wanted to view other opinions of the situation than my own, so as to see if I was simply being simple minded and stupid about the situation or not. Perhaps you can read a whole thread next time prior to replying.

why would you even need to think about this? trade was never finished. so if he doesnt pay the guy the $50, get him banned..

And if he wants to back out, then let him. but dont send him a dime back. its his fault he decided not to pay. and if he wants to finish the deal later on, charge interest..
