    Need any Fitness-related help?

    Hello all,

I'm Jake (yes, please ignore my completely random and meaningless sythe name). I started 'lifting' three years ago and since then it has become my passion. Throughout the years, I've learned so much through experience and knowledge, and I constantly keep learning more and more now to anything health related, particularly anything that can be categorized into the "bodybuilding" and "nutrition" realm. I'm currently a sophomore in college, majoring in Kinesiology (Pre-physical therapy emphasis) with a minor in Health management.

    So Jake, who cares?
-I just wanted to post this to let you guys know that I'm offering my help and knowledge on any question that you may have, and even help you craft your own (appropriate, effective, and well-designed) workout program/routine and even guide you with your nutrition for your fat-loss or muscle-building endeavors.
I see so many people in the gym making the same mistakes every single day, and probably committing the same errors in regards to their nutrition. But I'm not perfect, cause I did too. Which is why the more you know earlier, the better your progress is going to be, and the less the time wasted.

Anyways, now you're asking, what am I doing here?
Well, I also played RS religiously before, and I occasionally do so now, and I've come across sythe for various reasons (such as buying an account), and now I want to try and help this community in something I'm passionate about. I'm offering my help so that it also serves me as practice for my future, and get to experience what it feels like to have "clients" if any of you are interested in my services, etc.

So go ahead and ask anything, I'll be more than willing to answer your questions :)

    Thanks.

    Need any Fitness-related help?

I'll lead off with a random question: Does it benefit athletes to take multivitamins?

If the athlete, just like any other individual, has a balanced diet where the amounts of micronutrients he consumes in his daily food intake are sufficient for his level of activity, then no. However, it won't really "hurt" him/her, given that excess vitamins are simply "peed away". If his/her diet isn't that great, then sure, it can have some benefit in the long-run.

That's based on my knowledge, and I may be unaware of any other studies done or recent discoveries.

    Thanks for the question

Oh wow man, that's a long break.
But there's no "miracle solution" for muscle soreness, and that's a normal response of your muscles receiving a novel stimulus (can be considered novel given that it was 2 years), and you probably did a decent amount of volume at a high intensity if you're THAT sore.
While there are things that you may do after a workout to alleviate the symptoms of muscle soreness, as far as I know, there's nothing you can do right now to get "rid of muscle soreness". Nonetheless, try some light massaging, stretching, or if it's too much a pain reliever can help you. If you'd like, you can try hot/cold treatment but I don't think it'll have a considerable impact

Im lucky enough to have a sauna and this is the 3rd day that im suffering from muscle soreness, I knew it would be bad as I've had breaks in the past. Sauna makes it feel a bit better for a while but then its back to normal. I generally find that tricep/chest are the worst when it comes to muscle soreness, I dont mind having sore biceps or back. But thanks for your advice.

Yeah, there isn't much that you can do about it, other than not taking extended breaks I guess.
    Anytime :)
