I am on old tutorial island.. Did they bring it back or is this a glitch of some kind?

 

No, its still there just not used anymore. (unless you have an acc on it)

I don't think they ever will be worth much, so keeping them on there isn't really anything to preserve. There isn't anything to do there and there is no demand for an account there.

I'm not sure regarding how it is there, but I would advise to keep it. In a few years an account on tutorial island and the rare name would probably be double the worth now.

I don't ever see it getting rare.. because nobody else can see you on old tut... It's rather pointless.
