I have been posting about my laptop that I had recently bought a couple weeks ago.

I was wondering if there is anyway to actually easily put a new graphics card in so I can play the new games for vista. I had also bought Halo 2 for the computer when I bought this game and I really want to get Cod4. I thought I would be able to play seeing it's a pretty good laptop and the graphics card is better than my comp but it can play Halo 1, which my laptop can't.

What graphics card would I need?

How much does it cost?

Will I have to pay an installation fee because I am not opening up my laptop myself?

(you can pick yourself there, after reading the system requirements on the halo 2 box)

Should cost between 640$ and 40$ with a good card being around 300$

Since the laptop is new replacing the graphics card yourself should be easy enough, if it is a Dell laptop you could call customer support and assk them to help you.

If your still not sure, you can ask the store where you bought your laptop from. They should be able to answer all of your questions.

I dont belive those graphics cards are going to fit inside of a laptop.

I never heard of putting a graphics card in a laptop. Perhaps they have a external one somewhere

I heard the external graphics cards aren't that good? Truthfully all I want is to play games like Halo and Cod4 on there.

If your PC's gfx card is better than the laptop's, but halo 1 doesn't run on the laptop, it's not the gfx card. Most likely RAM/way processor works. If you have a lot of processes going on, especially on dual core+, halo 1 is old and doesn't support multi-core process sharing.

Pretty much any big gfx card company sells laptop varieties. Best one is nvidia, but ATI is cheaper I believe.

Mkkk, Lets see kids. First off. You cant upgrade a laptops videocard. Just upgrade your desktops. ATI is cheaper because they suck, Go with nvidia.
