I have some questions before buying a runescape account

i have $87 paypal, and looking to get a good runescape account.

but, i have bought a few before and somehow.. they got the account back from me?

i purchased an account last year, and it was level 138 at the time, several 99's, all was good. then one day it said my password was invalid? i contacted the seller but he deleted his account (it wasnt from here) and i never got to use it again. thus i lost about $100 in the end. sad face boo hoo i cry.

the exact same thing happened this year, right when 07scape was released the seller took it back and vanished into thin air....

how did this happen? i had the recovery questions set to what i put them as, i had the email as my own.. i even asked for a few earlier passwords... none worked as i tried to recover the account...

i am looking to buy another one but id like to know what to do before i buy it so this doesnt happen for the 3rd time..

thanks i appreciate all your time... looking to have a good time here on the forums

You should probably first check if there are any moderators selling any accounts here. If no moderators then check to see if any users that are $300 donors are selling any accounts. If none are then Id advise you use player auctions to buy an account but no accounts are safe because they can be recovered at any time.

Just look for someone on here that is fairly trustworthy or someone that has a good reputation in rs account sales. If you buy from someone who isn't trusted, they will more than likely recover the account.

It can always happen, the original owner can easily recover the account, even if you activated JAG.

Find someone you can trust. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Accounts can be recovered even if you have the email, recoveries, JAG, anything set on them. All they have to do is email Jagex and they will recognize them as the original owner. I would NEVER purchase an account because it can always be recovered after any period of time.

From past experience, it's completely based off the seller.

In my case, with <20 vouches and all I was firm with price and payment options. I made someone go first to me with WU before he even got the account. I mean, it depends on how much you trust the seller. Of course with trust, comes inflated prices. But the same is with normal sellers.

I had little vouches and still managed to get what I wanted and both parties are satisfied to date.

I generally stay away from account trades for that very reason, even if you buy from someone very "trusted" there is always that possibility that it can be recovered months or years down the line. I personally wouldn't want to lose any gold/work I put into the account.

If it were me I'd just start an account from scratch, I'd rather have a level 100 account that's mine with no chance of being taken from me than a level 200 with 5 99's that could get taken back someday.

That being said there are a lot of people(especially pk'ers) that want to just buy an account and get going right off the bat, if they lose the accounts its not a huge deal because they didn't put too much hard work into the account and its main purpose if pk'ing.

Less hassle to train your own account then purchase one from some directly. Too many things to consider; chargebacks, recoveries. Plus, the whole point in 'playing' Runescape is training :D

Better yet pay someone that $87 to train your account. It's so much safer and what I've always advised people to do.

There is still the risk that they have a flagged ip for goldfarming or something which could lead you to get banned almost instantly. Although generally this is good advice, its a lot safer than buying an account.

I have some questions before buying a runescape account

That's what I eventually ended up doing, I decided to make my own account and take advantage of some of the services people offer here at Sythe, it might've cost me a wee bit more than purchasing an account; but I don't have one worry as far as a recovery goes :p

And even better; if they are botting, and you get banned, it's easy to say you were hacked ;)

i would advise you to make a account and get some cheap leveling to the stats you are looking for, that way when you buy 300m to put on the account it safe and cant be recover

I already bought an account from someone fairly trusted. Thanks for all the input, i wish I've seen this earlier, but when I bought the account there were no replies on this thread.

Hopefully nothing goes wrong, thanks again for all the input
