Not sure if this is the right place or not sorry if it isn't.

I've been selling accounts on 07 RS for a while now and i specifically make accounts to sell. Most of them have unregistered email addresses and only 1 password / Ip login ever. Its a bit safer for the buyer but for me as a seller its not necessarily good because a year down the line theres no 100% guarantee I am able to recover the account back for the seller if he loses it somehow.

My question is am I able to put a 6month disclaimer on these type of accounts where I won't be able to help them if anything goes wrong without it interfering with the rules?

Also is there a lifetime recovery guarantee obligation for any account you sell? Because sure someone that has owned an account for 2 years and has so much more information can in theory recover the account at any point but with these type of accounts like I said its not always 100% especially if its like a year later and I've moved IRL to another state or something.

I'd appreciate any information with this I can get

What you should be doing is creating an account, putting it on 1-2 different emails than the original and changing the password 2-3 times so you have the majority of the creation information; also never give the creation information to the buyer, tell them if anything ever goes wrong, you'll recover it.

If Jagex sees multiple IPs/people trying to recover it they're most likely to tell both of you to go away and ban the account.

You can't have a ToS stating that you will only help in the first 6 months as it's preventable so you can be the only one with the majority of the information that counts towards a recovery + your home IP where you created the account is the biggest thing they look at.

Thank you. This makes complete sense to me and I think from now on i'll stop selling accounts without registered email and do it this way.

    Really appreciate your response
