So yeah, lost all my monthly pay over £1200 so decided to get over that and rebuild and i managed to make 150m osrs then gambled all that away. Doesnt help that i have borderline personality disorder. So back to the grind. I need money to live with :(

I feel you, man. That's the main reason I don't participate in activities such as dicing or staking. I've done it in the past, and the results were not good. Luckily, the times I did try it I didn't have much rsgp, so my losses were very minimal (although I lost it all).

Regardless, I just learned not to try it again and I haven't since. I think you just need to completely get over your losses and rebuild. I know the losses were big, but a main reason many gamblers keep losing is because they keep thinking about how much they've already lost and want to recover it.

Just let it go, completely, but don't forget how bad it felt to lose it all. Believe it or not, it has worked for me. There have been times when I go to the casino and I literally leave with 7$ to my name, but I just try and remember how shit I felt and I stay away now.

Honestly, going forward, if you still feel the need to have gp and be rich in game, I would suggest buying the gp and not staking/gambling for it. The up side of this, although expensive, is that you don't run the risk of losing it. And while it may seem like a stupid thing to do, waste money on gp, it's something you can later on sell if you no longer want. With gambling, i assure you that you'll end up losing.

    Good luck

I'm on the same boat as you man. I'm at the casino every other week and I gamble whatever I have on RS either via dicing/staking/rsruby etc.

All I can tell you is try to keep a "minimum" amount on the side and never touch that money. Just pretend its not there. So whatever you lose, you lose up until that "minimum" and stop.

I know its very tempting to just yolo all in sometimes and hope for a double or nothing; DO NOT DO THIS. I've lost thousands and thousands because of this act. Just simply, don't do it.

I can't give much useful support as I've never had to deal with this, however my friend had the same issues as you. He started staking while we were at school together, afterwards he ended up getting a job and buying gold every time he was paid to stake. When we first spoke about he said he estimates he'd lost about £12000 in the past year because of it. He ended up quitting cold turkey a few months after we spoke when he realised that in the end, he always lost. He said that this video helped him a lot:

I don't know if it will be useful to you, but good luck - I know that quitting anything, especially things which are exciting and addictive, is one of the hardest things a person can go through.

I'm going to check that video out now, thanks for the replys guys. Means alot. Its something I have to conquer on my own. Gambling should not be my source of Income to many emotional reperucsions and is not stable. I have a very addictive personality as it comes with my mental health condition, I need to focus my addiction on something positive and definitley not gambling.

    I'll keep you updated lol.

    Any ideas?

What interests you other than that? I find myself hiking to get my mind off stuff and it's pretty relaxing. Or go work out, get addicted to that instead ;)

do something that isnt so tedius that keeps your mind off it

i have a friend who instead spent all his money on 07 and just swaps for rs3 and 07 between gold sellers when they need it, keeps his mind off gambling because hes constantly going to new sites asking if they need gp

(what i know he bought 100m for $97 btc swapped it to 570m rs3 with oakdice sold the rs3 for .18/m making him just over $5 btc profit if he buys back the 07)

it's not much but it keeps his mind off gambling

Started gambling myself, can message you my reddit, all I post on is /r/soccerbetting.

It's addicting but you can over-come it, stick to doing £5-10 accumulators which are harmless to quench your needs to bet, then put the money in something that cant be bet, what I did was buy a Rolex, they don't deprecate and only increase in price, so instead of gambling £4000 away I simply bought a rolex and keep that to ensure I don't go big. Set your mind to putting that money to something, a car, clothes, a house, just so you aren't inclined to throw it away recklessly.

Biggest thing is: CLOSE ONLINE ACCOUNTS, it helps SO MUCH. If you see money in real life I guarantee you'll think twice before putting a big bet on, online it's so easy as it looks like 'fake' money to stick £10-100 on bets. By all means drive to the bookies and do accumulators which is what I do now, you'll feel so much better I guarantee it.

    You never beat the bookies.

I learned after losing over 1k on csgo gambling. Would win 3k then lose it all the next couple days. I just came to realize that this was stupid after losing everything and I never had an interest in coming back. If you still have an urge to gamble after losing the money, it will be hard to stop it. Only hope is to lose interest in the aspect of gambling. The social aspect was my issue.

I'm probably by far one of the biggest gamblers on this forum, I've been doing all forums of gambling from staking/dicing/poker/sports betting, almost anything you can think of for years now. I've never ever profited without soon cashing it back in just to find myself losing it all. i'm down easily $20k in my life time, and thats at the very least. Lately i've been doing a lot better and keeping my gambling to a minimal, and my advice to you is let it be known, tell family/friends, this truly can help if people know what you're doing. Second find a hobby that you like to keep your mind off gambling, I tended to gamble when I was bored and wanted an instant rush or opportunity to win "big" (although this never happens). I wish you the best in your adventure and if you ever want to talk to somebody because you feel like you want to gamble you can add my skype: strawsombrero

I try and remember this before gambling: have you ever actually profited without cashing back in later and losing it all + more?

This is also something i'm doing as we speak, its semi "gambling" but with research there is the potential to make money and you don't need to risk a lot, just set up a portfolio and track profits/loses. I love seeing my cash stack growing via my day trading with crypto currencies and its keeping me from blowing hundreds on some janky rigged cs:go site
