I HAVE $200k I NEED TO INVEST !

So im playing a business game for my class on a website that uses real time stock things so its like real life. And i have $200,000 and i need to invest and stuff and i have until June somthing ! please i need somethin to invest in.. i honestly have no clue what i should do can someone who actually knows what their talking about help me out?

Contests like that do not lend themselves to a reasonable investing strategy. Since it only matters whether you win or lose, you basically just want to take a super risky position so that you will probably either end up in first or last.

What are the rules for what you can invest in and are there any caps for individual positions?

That's the site i just invested in Disney cause of iron man 3 coming out soon and they own marvel so hopfully that was smart bought like 2000 shares i think , and i bought 816 of microsoft

Invest in These symbols:
GAZ - Natural gas company that has been on a bullish rally
SGI - Is at an all time low and will pop during the summer rally
MSFT - Microsoft had good 3Q profits and is rebounding as a growth stock
AAPL - They are at an all time low but will rally during summer

ALso, invest in ANY makers of computer and phone chips. 2013 is the year they will be shipping over 5 billion chips to advance technology in phones and tablets this year.

did this same thing before in school, the site is a little behind the real stock market sites so you can open them both up and when u see a stock rise go all in on it, and with the delay you should make bank

 

I would just dump it all in penny stocks or bitcoins. Something that will move a lot and possibly make you a lot of money or lose a lot. Like the other post said, you'll either be first or last. Good luck!

 

Right now im in 7th place in my class for this stocks game,

i invested MICROSOFT like $120k
invested in disney cause iron man 3 came out with like $40k
and i invested rest of my money into netflix lol still got like 40k left tho

 

Your investments were poorly placed if you really went with Disney and Netflix - and you missed the boat for Microsoft by about 30 years...

use websites which track how well stock is doing rather then just blindly investing because iron man 3 is coming out. Look at patterns and possibly predict future patterns by using your knowledge such as Disney buying lucas arts however that might actually turn away customers. Research.

ahh well then i guess i wouldnt know what o say, it really depends on the companies past. Disney buying lucas arts is not necessarily a good thing for lucas arts itself. Take for example the move John Carter, it was actually not a bad movie however it was advertised as a Disney movie and that actually turns off alot of movie goers, the reason Pirates of the Caribbean did so good was because of the ride and not many movies on Pirates so just my thought.

 

invest in a banking organization that continuously increases its share price everyday,

 

i learned a new technique i buy stocks that go down because they go back up then its been working so far i have 240k

 

None of those big companies - google, disney, apple, etc- will make you much in a month's time.

Invest in 3x shares (FAS, FAZ, etc.)
Play the market, and if it doesn't matter whether you win or lose - go big or go home.
Invest in penny stocks (stocks under 5$), making them highly volitile.
