Request for a High Pardon

Hi, everybody.

I was banned in March of 2009 for helping Sigex to scam (resetting accounts, corrupt MMing, modding his threads, etc.). I then lied about it for about a year, maintaining my innocence. I made a dispute thread in March of last year (http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=796973) where I admitted my guilt.

I'd like to come back, if you'll allow it. I miss SFA and the community.

Staff: I'm sorry for betraying your trust, and for lying to you about it for a year.
Scammed victims: I'm sorry for stealing from you, and for encouraging you to do business with another thief.
Sythe: I'm sorry for lying to you, and for being so disingenuous in our discussions of politics and morality.

If you were market banned, TwCed and permanently barred from staff, I'd be okay with you being pardoned, I guess.

You WERE once an active, helpful and well-liked member, after all. Thank you for coming clean.

I base my support on the fact that you would seldom post outside the SfA section and should be entitled to it; it's not like you did NOTHING to actually contribute to the site while you were staff.

 

I agree with SMR, if you were very restricted, then I could see you back on the site.

This tbh. Although I have heard alot of good about you, you seemed to get off on trolling Sythe with circular arguments (I had a laugh reading the 9/11 "arguments" you tried to debate him with), and the whole Sigex situation is just not acceptable given the position of responsibility that you had at the time.

 

I'd just like to point out that any decision you make here will have to be approved by Sythe.

 

If you guys want Sythe to make the decision thats fine by me but you'll never have my support in doing so. Darren apparently (Wasnt around for his admin days) was a damn good member at one point but decided to throw away every single thing he had ever done and accomplished.

 

It's not a matter of wanting Sythe to make the decision or not - it's simply that any attempts to reverse bans given or approved by Sythe personally must be appropriated by Sythe.

I don't think there would be any possible way to do anymore damage if he was let back. However, I wonder how Sythe will respond. :S

 

I have been talking to Darren since he was a global moderator and even all these years after his ban. I believe he has genuine remorse for his actions and has learned from his mistakes.
