I'm sorry about your loss. I've searched around for any information that may have linked the discord user to a sythe profile. Did you happen to notice whether any sythe user viewed your vouch thread when you linked it to him? I can't reach his RSN on the "service ended" screenshot proofs, but you may be able to locate him if you search the site or google using that as a keyword. (google can limit searches to a specific site if you preface your search query with "site:sythe.org [query here]"

In any case, we'll keep an eye out for that discord tag and hand down bans and DNT if we can positively match it to a sythe user.
