    Dammit, Apple!

Yesterday my computer had a software problem, and the guy on the phone said he will keep my files safe, then he told me he deleted my harddrive because he wanted to -.-
Now my thousands of dollars of programs like Photoshop cs5, c4d, etc, and important files that have all my passwords and data and all my runescape exploits and glitch logs are gone :D

lol i dont care about how much the things cost, i just care about how long over 300 gb of files took to download :p and my important files :S
an external hard drive probably would have worked. Im going to buy an alienware in a few mins... i heard those are good.

You can always redownload the programs as long as you have the product keys or you've registered your copies to adobe. Sucks about your files though:<

Lol. I would have jumped through the phone and strangled that guy. But yeah.. As everyone else is saying, get an external. You say you spent thousands of dollars on software, but yet you fail to properly secure your assets by backing up the things that you don't want to lose. Foolish IMHO.

Apparently you can download something that can get back your deleted files, look it up on google, I was having a look after my sister lost some very important files off a USB pen drive, luckily for me though it was fixed by the time I actually purchased anything, I don't know if they work but there is no harm in looking. :)

I'm confused. Your computer had a software update, so you call somebody on the phone and give them control of your computer (fyi, customer service can't do this), and you're mad because they deleted everything on your computer?

    herp derp?

Customer service is too allowed to take control of your computer if you give consent. That's how GeekSquad diagnoses problems if you don't want to pay 129 dollars for an agent to come see it personally.

I think it was my computers fault though... Maybe there wasn't a way to fix it besides wiping it :(
