I got DDoSed can I file a law suit?

Only people that get put away for DDoSing are when a government has a reason to be involved (ex: attacking government sites), or when a large corporation that has the resources to go after individuals who were ddosing there servers (ex: recent Christmas DDoSing attacks on Xbox & Playstation servers.)

Pretty much this, you're wasting your time. DDoSing is not something that's remotely hard to do and no one is going to pay attention to you reporting because the loss of some virtual currency which would likely not be recognized as a monetary loss.

Block them and reset your IP.

Adding to much of what has been said, you would also drown in legal fees, as making an overseas lawsuit work out for you is by no means cheap.

 

If you're gonna spend that type of money, get his address, buy a ticket for London and proceed to do some real-life DDoSing on his ass.

Without knowing the right people you're wasting your time with pointless revenge. IMO you deserved it for trying to scam people. Based on what I read you didn't even lose anything. I'm aware that is a rough draft, and i'm not sure about UK laws compared to US, but you're never going to win this. My advice would be to let it go. If you are rich and revenge is what you want than my advice is to actually HIRE A LAWYER to do this for you. You will look like an idiot going to court with what's on this thread.

Not to mention I don't even see any EVIDENCE. Trust me you're innocent until proven guilty and if you don't believe me research the OJ trial.

 

There's literally no way to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you were DDOSed by a specific person or group. You have to not only prove where the attack came from, but who had control of the device or devices that were used.

 

I wish someone could go through with one of these on a site like this and get someone in trouble, would stop a lot of ddosing.

 

You would need absolute definitive proof that he did indeed ddos you and that is going to be hard to provide concrete evidence.

 

I think you're better off letting this slide, you can put time into it but I think it's very probable it'll get you nowhere but cost you money.
