Hair?

Hey Im going to get my haircut/styled in a few hours, and I need some ideas. I dont want it TO short so dont suggest like a bob cut. MY idea is to get it thinned out at my tips and about midway down my hair, then keep it nice and think at the top so i can tease it....but thats just ONE idea and I might not like it in about an hour lol. My hair is about 3 inches down my shoulder in case you needed that. Anyways, I just need some suggestions :L

haha i know, but what hair do you like the best. Like, hairstyles. I reaalllyy need it cut (split ends are growing out like crazy) and I want something different. Not THAT different ^^^^^, but Ive had the same haircut for like 3 years. Im keeping my bangs, straightacross I already know would look terrible. And I need suggestions cause uncreativepersonisuncreative.
