I don't want to live on this planet any longer....

Unfortunately the way the law is written in most places worked against the homeless man. The law usually states that any representation of being armed (even if later determined to be false such as in this case) will cause the act to be classified as first degree robbery which is much more serious and why he got 15 years.

They really should rewrite this part of the law or make some changes to it to account for special circumstances like this where the suspect was in fact peaceful rather than dangerous, returned almost all the money, and even turned himself in.

 

This is ridiculous, he doesn't deserve 15 years!

That is by far the gayest thing i've ever heard, america is a digusting country when it comes to human rights and the system.

 

I have this feeling quite often. It very well is often caused by law and human right issues. I just can't stop thinking of a better place somewhere out there and that alone is a very good reason to live even here.

Here in belguim, people who kill get 2-3 years .. wow we are living in a strange world
