Does anyone else feel like this about society?

I'm not sure if it's just the area I live in or not.

I feel like everyone around me is stupid. Why? So many people I see are so individualistic, they only look out for themselves which is sad. I mean I take care of myself, love myself and look out for myself more than anyone else, but I'm a self-centered douche.
A lot of people complain when they don't get something they want. I work in a grocery store and I see 30 year olds act like 5 year olds because they didn't get something.
I see 18-20 year old girls pregnant. It's so sad.
I just feel that society as a whole is retarded. There are a select few that I like, but for the most part people are dumb.

Is this normal?

 

It is normal, but in life you'll meet a tonne of different people.. but also somilar people. I'm afraid you'll just have to grin and bear it - everyone has different views and ways of living, yours is just one of them. It sucks but you'll have to learn to tolerate

There's no way you can define as "society as a whole" being retarded, without including yourself. In fact there is no such thing as society as an entity, or the often quoted "society-imposed".
What you are trying to express is normal, be assured that all those individualistic retards, think the same thing about you.
You can't get to meet all of the people you categorize as retarded, you've only caught a minute snippet of each other human walking along your side, discard whatever you think of them, because their is much more going on inside a person than what it expresses.

 

On the contrary, you CAN say society as a whole is retarded, maybe you don't want to be a part of the society so you do not include yourself. I feel the same way as the OP. I cannot stand holding conversations with people who are complete morons, let alone play video games where everyone on there has names like "420yoloswag" and stupid shit like that. I see kids like that on xbox, and on runescape when I do services for people, and seeing the grammar of the people on runescape is just absolutely horrid.
Also going through high school and having to see all those people who can't even do simple math equations? Pathetic.

Now, do I even have to point out how many words she mis-spelled? Amazingly, she spelled "what's" correctly, but put it in the wrong sense, in which case, "what's" makes no sense where she put it.

 

She justs talks a different dialect of english than you do, you obviously don't know her, and you probably live in different worlds so you would have a hard time understanding her, who knows what the fuck she was talking about in that post? or what she was trying to express?
Is she or all the other people you describe stupid? Yes. We are born in a state of total ignorance. Some choose to be indifferent about it.
Are they sad or self centered? Maybe, but I don't feel the connection. Whenever I am with stupid people and they talk like the girl you just quoted or act all 420yoloswag, I just don't feel the hate, or superior at all, they probably think similar of me as I think of them, they must think I am a swagless guy and society as a whole is swagless. But I don't care, and probably neither do they about what I think.
I don't often talk with people, but if I do talk with 420yoloswag or blackteenmom, it would be for a reason totally unrelated to 420, swagness or being dumb, so I just go ahead and ignore all that, I don't see why it should affect me.
