I did an oops pls advice

I accidentally sent the wrong person money ($27.50) on PayPal and they wont refund me.. Do i report them or no? I did businesses with them earlier and they were on my recent list when i was sending money to a a new client i was buying gold from. Basically i'm out money and need to know if i report them for being unreasonable for keeping money and not returning. I have screen shots of who i sent it to and asking for them to refund it

Yes you can report them I'm pretty sure if you accidentally did it and have all proof

 

Report it. At the very least the person should get a TWC.

 

I don't be see why he wouldn't refund if it wasn't meant for him especially after you telling him so. That's a little sketchy.

If you contact PayPal by putting a dispute or ringing them, they will get this sorted for you. I assume it was a friends and family payment meaning you'll nearly guaranteed to get the money back, so don't panic. As for the user I'd suggest reporting them with the appropriate proof because if he's willing to do this it sets a precedent for what he'd be willing to do in a genuine trade of value and he'll probably get a caution, TWC or even a DNT.

I wouldn't suggest contacting Paypal until you know it is your only way (see what happens from the scam report first). Once there starts to be payment reversals associated to your account, Paypal gets pretty crazy on stuff like limiting your account. From my experience you really don't want to tell them that you sell virtual items.
