Real or Fake?

none of my accounts have been banned or whiped... but my email has never been tried to be phised by any website.

 

I'm so confused because it looks so real but at the same time it looks fake. My opinion would be is to go to the website and put fake info and if it works it's fake then check viruses.

Check if the link re-directs to the real secure.runescape.com.
Check if the bar where you type website addresses becomes green.
EDIT: It obviously is fake~ Jagex would NEVER contact you about these things via email.
They would put this in your runescape message box.
And do you notice the sentence where they say some accounts may be punished unfairly bhy an technical issue?
VERY much phishers use that sentence.

Real world trading doesn't destroy the economy so that's false. Also starting off with "Dear Customer" is fishy.

There are so many words used in this email that makes it look fake. Which it is, but it's pretty funny.

dont even click the think.... it could be a java drive by. its 100% fake jagex will never send you emails like this.

 

jagex never contacts you by email.

It's clearly fake, being the address sending it is from a @yahoo domain...

That's the op's yahoo, which is why he blocked it out. You can see it was sent to him, from Jagex Ltd.

Either way, the from field can be spoofed.

Jagex told me they'd never contact me via e-mail... so I ignore the e-mails. If someone was up with your account, you'd get a message on the RS system.

If you know you didn't do anything, why would you think it's real?

 

I rwt all the time lol, but I've never received a phishing/spoof email on this email account ever.

And jagex does email. For pw recovery and memb updates

 

fake and plus look at your game log in and see if you have emails there to see if its real

 

Fake; it was in your spam folder by the looks of it. Jagex will never email you about offences.
