[Food] Mooyah - Hamburdog Review

As you can tell by the name... this is going to be a burger with a hot dog in it. USA, USA, USA

It comes with a "Potato Bun topped with an All-Beef Hot Dog, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Jalapenos, Fried Onion Strings, Ketchup" You can still customize the order a la Five Guys style, which I used to add grilled onions and grilled jalapenos, as well as A1 sauce.

Now, you're probably thinking, "Wuz Mooyah?" Mooyah's is a copycat Five Guys restaurant. Seriously, everything about it is just a rip off. But they do something better:
They allow you to choose how many patties you want, how much cheese, you want, they have different patty options, different bun options, different cheese options, more toppings like chili, guacamole, and avocado. Also, it just tastes better. I love Five Guys, but when I recently found out about Mooyah's... I had to give it to them. The only thing they don't do better, is their jalapenos aren't fresh jalapenos, and their fries are garbage. They even toast their buns (I don't know if Five Guys does that).

I could barely put my mouth around this huge pile of meat. It was a difficult eat, but I managed to do it. The hot dog tasted like a Bar-S hot dog. Extremely disappointing.

Other than that, think of the best fast casual chain burger (Five Guys) except better. You're welcome. Great meat, crispy bacon, grilled onions.. all delicious. I ate the hot dog first to get it out of the way. That hot dog gets a low 2/5.

The Hamburdog without the hot dog (lol) gets a Low 5/5 because of the price. A double cheeseburger costs less than $8, and that's what I ended up getting.

Hamburdog as pictured: Low 3/5 the Bar-S hot dog overpowered the first two bites I took with the hot dog intact. I doubt they sell this still, but I wouldn't get a hot dog from Mooyah's because of it.

Would come again for their burgers though. Look them up if you wanna see how they have more options.

Seriously, it is better than Five Guys.

It's all show. The hot dog was crap. If you like Five Guys and are near a Mooyah's you didn't know existed, go there!

 

These are wuss jalapenos though. Also you can customize it however you want

Five Guys would charge you $40 for that same burger

 

To be fair, Mooyah's is the same price, except if you're getting a triple patty burger.

$6.49 for double burger, $1 to add your choice of cheese which makes it $7.49. 50 cents more for a third patty, though.

The difference is you have more options and it tastes better, at a similar price point. The patties at Five Guys are 3.3 ounces vs. Mooyah

 

You should investigate whether Scotty P's is down in A town. Better than mooyah AND 5 guys imo.

Havent tried this burger however.

 

This burger is just now gone the new limited edition burger is whack.

Also, this one sucked tbh I'm about to look this place up.

 

If it means anything to you I read all of these you post, in srsness I appreciate u taking the time to post all of these, their fun to read and are sort of like a food show to me, I will read one when I'm working at my computer and munching on chicken nuggets or something.

I've been here a total of 6 times now. The first 3 times it was amazing, the last 3 times it was pretty awful. Mileage varies greatly with what you put on it. Not sure I can vouch for this place anymore.
