Secret champions Solo Q

I am listing champions that work amazingly well in Solo Q they are broken (not OP) for multiple reasons and some work just due to how people have very little experience fighting them.


Note : I am not listing known OP champs like Zed/Elise these are champs that are broken but underplayed.

Protip- New Phage/Trifroce junglers can smite a minion while chasing/running at a lane to gain 60 move speed if you AD jungle without phage you are doing it wrong.

Riven (she works even mid)


Those are just champs that may be useful to try when you master an unorthodox champion its hard to counter since you wont face same people often.

 

I just used Swain, He's mad fun lol.

 

i fought Swain as ahri mid.. i was able to kill him twice but whenever he ulted...that tore me up lol

 

Varus is an absolute beast at AD, and most people don't have any idea how to deal with him even in diamond. His hardest counter, Graves, isn't even that bad to deal with.

 

No one, i mean no one knows how to play verse a Fizz in my opinion, he should be on the list.

 

Some of those champions are played a lot at my region / elo.

Ryze.

 

I actually destroyed a Fizz as Karthus the other day.

Just remember to keep your range and farm your jungle.

Karthus' wave clear is incredibly good, so it makes it hard for Fizz to leave lane too.

Although... Fizz is listed as a very high counter to Karthus...

 

I completely forgot about him even though my friend mains him lol.

 

I cannot picture a Fizz losing lane to a Karthus but I can picture Karthus winning late game.

Karthus is another champ I should add to the list however I don't know if I should farming with Karthus in lane is incredibly annoying to get used to and most people cannot lane with him good.

Champ counters are always kinda stupid and its all situational also.

Example :

Riven counters Vlad but if Vlad gets an early lead he can shutdown Riven.

Tryndy counters yi in a mid game/late game 1v1 but Tryndy cant shut down a yi in a team fight.

Sion counters Tryndy but Tryndy will be able to split push better and win.

 

I've got the best win ratio on oce as support zyra, currently d3. Even on NA, if I'm ever support, It's always zyra. It's not new or anything however, I disagree with you there.

Same as Trynd and Fizz, picked extremely often as of the past 3 months.

 

Tryn, Fizz and Zyra are only picked in high elo this thread is mainly for like Silver/Golds I assume Plat/Diamonds can find champs that work well on own.

 

I don't know why Jarvan IV was listed as an underplayed champion. He's picked almost every game and (even only after LCS) everyone know how to fight him. Fizz is picked often (EUW) because he can easily snowball game. When you get around 2 kills you can carry your team hard and it doesn't matter who you fight.

Zyra isn't picked often because few players decides to pick champ that might help his team. They usually take something that "they are OP and they do not fear counter" then they go 0-5-0. Zyra is great counter-initiator but not everyone know how to play her.

 

I don't think AD Sion is any good, to be honest, I think AP Sion mid is stronger.

 

AP Sion mid is pretty great but AD Sion jungle is pretty decent.

 

ad sion late game is amazing and ap sion needs to be fed to do well against tanky opponents

 

ad sion is set back due to having no mobility and being more than useless against any team that has cc.

tryndamere is ridiculously overpowered. Morello says he's not going to be nerfed soon. learn why he is OP and have fun climbing.

 

Tryn just needs to be shut down early. An underfarmed Tryn will lose his team the game trying to catch up on farm after ~20 minutes, as long as the other team is smart enough to group and push early objectives.

 

I have never lost lane to one of your op top lanes, because I never lost top lane. Any champ can be "broken" if you know how to use them. A friend of mine made plat 2 from spamming teemo mid of all champs. I personally use nidawee. I lost a good amount of games from attempting to carry my friend out of the depths of bronze, but i don't mind at this point considering I won't be playing this game much after friday.



Ad nid is where it's at. Even if I don't get my preferred top lane, i can play any role with her proficiently.

 

AD sion is shits IMO

 

I'm pretty sure Karthus loses lane to everybody by default (no escape, low mobility, relies on skills to farm, terrible aa animation). However this can be changed based on player skill. Karthus isn't picked to win the lane, he's picked for his late game where he can press R and deal a ton of damage to the enemy team.
