How does sythe protect against this happening?

I've seen this happen alot of times before, someone is banned because they have an account on another site that deals with blackhat activities.

I've also seen some people deal with bans because they were framed.

Whats stopping someone from going onto another forums like sythe, making my username and advertising with my msn that they want to hack and scam everybody? How does the sythe staff deal with this issue?

Thanks in advance, its just a query ive had for a long time and if anything happened like above i think id have no way to defend agaisnt it and just remain unfairly banned.

 

Well a similar thing to this happened to me, my assistants skype was hacked and then posted on BA therefore getting him banned & me due to my ties to him. I believe my personal ban reason was something like "knowing about your assistants black hat activities". Basically nothing is stopping people from going onto another site and claiming they are you posting your msn etc in all this fishy stuff. You would then get temporarily banned, like I was until the mess has been sorted out. You'd have to prove that it was not you which is no easy feat, I should know considering I was banned for over a month.

 

I think mods have contact with the mods and admins of black hat sites and they request IP checks on certain accounts.

 

I'm pretty sure staff look into it and shit before making a final decision, a good example is the Jack Goff incident.

 

I remember once FireZ (In his sectional days) had access to someone who helped him out with the I.Ps of people on FJ. If someone claimed it wasn't them, I'm sure the staff would be able to go and see if the I.Ps are similar.

 

Generally IP's are checked, but however it's done I can guarantee you that you're not going to be falsely banned. The staff have their shit worked out, they've got years of experience from doing this.
