Getting new laptop

I'm getting really tired of using msn on my mac. Its nothing but problems. Things such as me never appearing online to people and deleting contacts only for them to be readded next time I log in. I feel its just the crappy mac msn messenger.

Is windows any better? I'm thinking about just buying a cheap windows laptop strictly just for msn convos. Would I have these problems using the new version of msn on windows OS? Also what windows is the best.. xp vista etc.?

Please suggest a laptop. Keep in mind it would be strictly for msn and it would be kept on 24/7.

 

Wanting a cheap one? I'd suggest Sony Vaio - it comes at something like $400 last time I checked.

If you want an expensive one, I'd get a Toshiba Qosmio - I've had my one (the F20) for about 4/5 years, and it still runs new games on it. Its pretty expensive though ~£1500. Obviously, you'd want the new one. Same price, better specs.

 

If it's trictly for MSN just get a netbook that runs on windows for 100-200$

 

Mm I can't really stand them. They are too small and hard for me to type on XD

 

Maybe a tablet? or get a usb keyboard for the netbook?

 

Best OS for Windows is XP. The most reliable.
Sadly, however, Microsoft keep bringing more and more things for Windows 7 and Vista which is restricting the compatibility with some softwares for XP. MSN should be fine though (as I use it).

Sometimes it can be a bit troublesome navigating round certain sites when they seem sure you're running Windows 7, though. ._.

 

Sounds like to me your just having the invitations problem, when someone adds you you need to accept the inviation at the bottom of your messenger.. Try ebuddy, theres multiple sites you can use instead of using MSN etc.

 

Get a netbook.

Really cheap.

Or, you could use msn on your phone.

 

Why not sell your mac and buy a decent spec laptop?
