How will your funeral go?

Kind of a crazy topic, but how do you think your funeral will go? Like what songs do you want to be played? Will you be cremated or buried?

I don't want a funeral, I want to be dropped out of a Helo and buried at sea alongside of my future SEAL brothers.

I would prefer not to have one but I guess it gives my family closure that I'm gone so I will request to be cremated.

I honestly do not care. The dead do not have feelings, so I find the notion of treating a corpse with respect kind of dumb. The corpse is not the person, it is the shell that the person used to interact with the world.

Instead of having it rot and go to waste, not to mention force my family to pay tens of thousands for some "good looking" coffin, I'd rather have my body and organs donated to science when I die.

I personally don't care in the slightest what kind of funeral I have, as long as my family is happy with it. I'd prefer to be cremated.

I really got this creepy feeling of seeing you laying on a slab while I cut you open for the sake of science. (It's what most 2nd yr med students do.)

Anyway, I haven't given this much thought, but on a whim I would say that I would like to be cremated and have my ashes divided up into many fireworks and shot off in a display of some sort. I also don't want anyone wearing dark colors to my funeral. I want it to be a huge party where everyone is having fun, laughing and getting really drunk. I live a happy life so I want everyone to continue to live a happy life.

While I haven't thought about it much, the one concern I have is to ensure I have enough funds left in my will to cover any financial burdens my funeral may cause on my friends/family.

I started to think about what my funeral would be like and then started thinking about other funerals I have been to. Everyone in your life will be crushed, at one of the worst moments they've ever shown in public. I'd rather not think about the people close to me showing that type of sorrow again until it happens.
