How to recover *Deleted/Lost* Files on Windows 7 (Using "RECUVA")

How to recover DELETED and LOST files using Recuva
    by Photoshopexp3rt

    -Download
User friendly Windows-based Recuva took home the crown for top data recovery tool. This tool is made by the company called:Piriform.
They also did CCLeaner which is a powerful and a well-known tool, as overall they are a big successful company. Enough about them now to get to the download part. To download the program you can go on the official page of Priform, which is www.Piriform.com, or the download link which is located here, here or even here.

-InstallingNow after you have downloaded the program, just simply double-click on hit enter on the icon. At first it will ask for the language. This program supports thease languages:

    • [*]Albanian
      [*]Serbian
      [*]Slovenian
      [*]Suomi
      [*]Svenska
      [*]Ukranian
      [*]Vietnamese
      [*]English
      [*]French
      [*]Goergian
      [*]Greek
      [*]Hrvatski
      [*]Italian
      [*]Japanese
      [*]Litvanin
      [*]Nederlands
      [*]And many more

After then language is chosen, the installation wizard will popup. Just hit Next >. Next is the Software Licence Agreement, on this choose I Agree. Now you will have to put the destination folder from the program to install to, this is my setting:
And now is the installation options, they look like this:

    • [*][*]Add Desktop Shortcut
      [*]Add Start Menu Shortcuts
[*]Automaticlly check for updates to Recuva.
      [*]Install optional Yahoo! Toolbar

For this I choose only the first 3, because i don't want my browser to be crowded with Toolbars, but you can select all 4 if you wish, then just hit Install and finally Finish.

    -Recuva Wizard & Recovering
After downloading & installing Recuva, you will have to go thru a wizard, it should look like this:
After clicking Next> you should see a few options, like this:
The image is self explanationable but i will tell you what option does what
    Pictures
Only files that are images, with any format such as .jpg ; .bmp ; .psd ; .png ; .jppeg and other formats, are recoverable.
    Music
Only files that are music, with any format such as .mp3 ; .mp4 ; etc, are recoverable.
    Documents
Only files that are documents, with any format such as office files, notepad files, and other document types of file, are recoverable.
    Video
Only files that are in video format are recoverable.
    Compressed
Only files that are compresseed such as zip, rar or anything that is compressed, can be recovered.
    Emails
Only files that are in email format can be recovered, such as emails from Thunderbird, Outlook Express and Windows Mail.
    Other
With this options, all files that are deleted and seen by Recuva are showed.
    [hr]
It's better to choose Other, because you never know which file you need to be recovered back. Now after you select your option, hit Next >. Now a new set of options will pop up, asking for you where were the files before you deleted them.
    I'm not sure
When you choose this option, the Recuva Wizard will fully search your computer for deleted files, that you don't know where they were when before you deleted them.
On my media card or iPod
This search option will only search for deleted files on any removable devices such as removable cards, iPods, portable hard disk, except on CDs, DVDs and Floppies.
    In my documents
Searches only in user documents folders.
    In the RECYCLE BIN
Will search for files that were deleted from the Recycle Bin, this does not include the option: SHIFT + Delete.
    In a specific location
Searches for deleted fils in a specific location that you give by pressing the Browse button.
The best is to choose the option I'm not sure, because with this it will scan your computer, all parts. After you choose your option just press Next>, and a new window will pop-up asking for you if you want to Enable Deep Scan. What this does it tells the Recuva Wizard to scan deeply in your computer for better results, also this increases the finish time drasticly. After some time passes the wizard will complete, and this should pop-up:

The red CIRCLES are the files that are Unrecoverable, the orange CIRCLES are the ones that have Very poor or Poor state, which means the recoverable percentage is about 30-60%, and the green CIRCLES, you know the color green means positive and the files that have that colored CIRCLE before them, they are fully recoverable.
To recover them just tick the box before the file and hit the Recover... button, and select your place where to recover the files.

Note: For any help, please feel free to contact me via Sythe's PM system. I will gladly aid you in anything you may need.

How to recover *Deleted/Lost* Files on Windows 7 (Using "RECUVA")

I feel that your "using Recuva" should be the same font size as "How to recover DELETED and LOST files". It looks kinda weird when you're suddenly reading big text then it goes small. In the sentence "This tool is made by the company called:piriform", you should insert a space after the colon.
I suggest you insert a space after "Installing" in this sentence: "-InstallingNow after you have downloaded the program,".
Your first bullet has no text after it. Might want to remove it.
You also have a coding fail here: "Other
With this options, all files that are deleted and seen by Recuva are showed.
    [hr]".
Try to avoid capitalizing random words when they're not needed though, as seen here: "are the ones that have Very poor or Poor state". The colour was enough to get the point across, in my opinion.

Overall, it's a good guide and it's good that you chose to write a guide about a program that hasn't been written guides on before. Usually, we get people who write many different guides about the same subject and it gets tiring. Aside from the small grammar and spelling mistakes, you're good to go :)
