Is PA stealing $300 from me?

Recently I noticed PA randomly put a "phoenix powerseller" rank on my playerauctions account. They did this without informing or asking me. When I browse the powerseller info it says that a $300 deposit is required to be a playerauctions phoenix powerseller.. does this mean they are going to just take $300 from my paypal or keep that from my recent transactions? ...

I never told them I wanted to be a powerseller because to me it is a completely useless rank, so I wouldn't be happy if I now had to pay this $300.

Basically it's free but they are offering account protection services. As long as you dont intend on breaking the rules you do not need this.

 

Honestly I disagree with this... I read it over as-well and from the looks of it, this is what I've gathered. Basically, you'll be paying $300 as kind of like a deposit for an apartment. As such, if you were to scam/not-deliver/recover an account, then money would be taken out of that $300. Staying with the same analogy, kind of like fees taken out of an apartment deposit for punching the wall and causing a hole.

 

Tell them you don't want it, and they're taking money without your knowledge.

Yeah but they can't just charge your PayPal its not a credit card.

I've only used PA once or twice for small amounts, but i've heard of this problem on yahoo answers from a large seller and the top rated answers were yes.

 

wow, it does say you can pay fee to become a powerseller but didnt say they were just gonna make you one without your concent.

Yes, they are basically stealing it from you, as it seems like you will get your deposit back once you are done with PA, which will most likely be never lol.
