How did RSGP sales go through before Free Trade came back?

Well, it's no use keeping it a secret now, and I've always wondered how they went down.

Excess supply, easier to transfer, people trying to crash prices, tons of gold farmers and so many more reasons...

 

There are a number of methods people used that took advantage of things within the game to transfer.

It started out mainly with producing "junk" and selling that; these ways, however, quickly grew old. It then took creativity to figure out other methods.

There were times when the dueling arena was used to glitch, or others when people took advantage of the differences in potions (2), (3) and (4) plus the ability to decant in multitudes through NPCs.

All-in-all it was a lot of work and the secret to success relied on how secret you could keep your method. Once they were leaked, they were patched.

People like R2Pleasant, and other prominent Gold Sellers came up with a whole array of methods they used, often times, they sold these methods too. Although most of them relied on:
1) Junk,
2) Glitches,
or 3) Altering a product to increase cost.

One method that was used involved poisoning some sort of weapon (I forget which it was exactly, I'm sure another Sythe member will know for sure), selling the poisoned weapon to the buyer, and then cleaning the poison off and selling back.
Most methods were this tedious and the other downside was the fact that almost all the time there was money lost from the seller.

That was what I was thinking of, although I am certain there were other methods.

 

Trade each other and then sell/buy from the GE, or vice versa.

This, my personal method was fairly complicated though.

 

Gold farming I think? Not sure.

 

I remember it was easy to transfer gold in BH.

But after that I didn't know many ways.

 

People used the drop party room in small increments for F2P, it was more P2P that had these "glitches" that helped them sell gold .

 

Ask r2pleasent haha. Some people used ducks, or various other items.

Hmm.... I learned alot here I was curious how they went about this.

 

Account 1 (seller) would have a number of uncut Dragonstones
Account 2 (buyer) would have a shitload of fire runes.

The tzhaar shop never had dragonstones, right?

Account 2 sells alot of fire runes to the tzhaar shop for alot of tokkul.
Account 1 would then sell all the dragonstones to the tzhaar shop
Account 2 would quickly buy all the dragonstones with the tokkul.

You would lose 100k for every 1Mil you transferred.

 

I remmeber uncut dragonsones were used, and some pot which i cant remember was wroth more (3) then (4),
