    How to spot a scammer!

As we all know, there are many, many scammers on Sythe. But, if you follow a few rules, then you will lessen your chances of getting scammed! Now, these aren't foolproof, but they work a large portion of the time:

    1. Refusal to use a middleman. A middleman makes the trades safer for everyone involved. Don't believe the people that say, "I'm more trusted than you, I'm not using a middleman. You go first, or no trade." Most of the time, that's a scammer.

    2. Going off of number one, know how to spot any irrelevant story. Scammers will use some kind of fabricated story in order to gain your sympathy. Don't fall for any story given. A legit trader will usually want to be strictly business.

    3. Note bad grammar and/or spelling and/or lack of professionalism. This isn't always a tell-tale sign, but it can be. Again, a legit trader will usually be strictly business, and also somewhat professional.

    4. Vouches vouches vouches vouches. If a person has no vouches, or even a few vouches, trade with caution. If you are trading with a person with 50 small value vouches, also trade with caution. You're better off trading with someone with 10 $100 vouches than the aforementioned person.

    5. When a seller immediately, right off of the bat, claims that their Paypal is bank-funded, watch out. Not to say that people don't have bank funded Paypals, but when that is the first thing people say, they are sometimes trying to draw your attention away from credit card scams, so be careful.

    6. Watch out for buyers that are buying for unbelievably high amounts. Likewise, watch out for sellers that are selling at unbelievably low amounts, trying to "just get rid of it." This is a common scamming method.

    7. Look out for account sellers that try to only give you the account name and password. When purchasing an account, make sure to get ALL of the details about the account! That includes things such as creation date, subscription details, old passwords and recoveries, internet service provider, and account emails. If possible, pay a middleman for a recovery check!

    8. Often, a scammer will attempt to rush the trade. He will say things like, "Hurry, I have to go." and "If we can't do this in 3 minutes, we can't do it. I'll trade with someone else later." This is just a ploy to get you to feel rushed and just go through with the trade without thinking twice.

Always use a trusted middleman when in doubt, and always follow your gut instinct! If you don't feel that the trader is trustworthy, then DO NOT trade with him! That way, you won't have to regret your decision down the road.

Feel free to add more to the list

    How to spot a scammer!

Thanks for the update. I think most people know who scams, and who doesn't. Posting this, in my opinion, will just make scammers go through this and do these things. Knowing the whole time they will just be scamming.

I was talking to a scammer the other day, whom was very good. He agreed to use an OMM. He kept talking to me calmly, and only quit answering I.M.'s when I actually got an OMM. Most members of Sythe would have done the trade with him because he was willing to use OMM, they would even do the trade without an OMM.

    How to spot a scammer!

If most people knew who scammed and who doesn't, I don't think there would be such a full 'Report a Scammer' section, now would there?

    How to spot a scammer!

Funny that's all you got out of the post, but I guess you are somewhat right. There are a good bit of people on here who do not fully secure their account's, money. I'll post more on your list later.
