How to sell a Maxed Account?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to sell my 2277 OSRS account, fully legit, diary cape, multiple decent pets, skilling sets, inferno cape(!). Obviously my rep isn't huge (although I've done a fair number of acc sales with the other person going first), so I'm realistic about the chances of selling via Sythe.

I contacted one of those account selling websites and was offered $670 USD for it.. which seemed absurdly low. I'm thinking of going the playerauctions route (despite their absurd fees).

Any advice anyone could give me? I just want the account gone at a reasonable price haha. Happy if someone wants to shoot me their discord and have a chat (would be great!).

Yeah, I've seen them up there for that price from members who have quite a lot of feedbacks/vouches.

 

Time to gain feedback/vouches then eh.

 

Haha, I've got some! Sadly account building isn't quite what it used to be (aka bottable no bans). Unsure what I could do to build community trust.

 

2009 member makes people feel safe, I would probably donate if I were you.

 

You could make a donation to the Sythe.org website.
You could build some lower tier accounts reasonably fast, which you could sell for in-game money.
If you do that, you could then sell the gold for Paypal.

Just with those steps, you would gain multiple vouches and some activity within the market. It sucks sometimes, but that's a good
quick way to take a step in the right direction. Another thing you could do is try and be as active as you can in the community, and
post notable responses to peoples questions & just their threads in general.

People to judge prices for accounts on user profiles as well which sucks, but for some reason that's how it is.
Time to build.

Got about 10-12 trades totalling maybe a few bil under my belt but I could probably create some cheap pking accounts (maulers, 10 hp high mage etc) and sell em.

Currently doing some cheap services as well for a few boosts

 

A pure account with mith gloves, DT, 50 Attack 70 Strength 70 Range 70 Mage and 13 Prayer could take a week or less.
While you do that, you could AFK cannonballs on 2 other accounts starting them off as Smithing accounts
After you sell the pure, you take one of the Smithing accounts and make it into another account.
Sell that account then make the last Smithing account into another new account, sell that.

Just throwing ideas out there lol, the more account sales you can get the better it will look for selling one.

Join date means nothing when his post count is less than 0.1 a day and when his vouches are from this year. The whole point of an old join date is to prove you have made trades over a long period of time, have no chargebacks for paypal payments that have spanned over a long period of time, and no account recovery. Just because someone created an account almost a decade ago and decided to start using it recently should never be an indication of trust.

 

Yeah, that's fair. I was always just a lurker really. I'm just going to list the account at (what I feel is) a fair price given my reputation. See what happens

 

If you're comfortable with providing ID/your address, that would pump the price up.
If you want an appraisal, $1k at your current rep seems about right in my opinion, will be a hard time finding someone to trust you with that sorta cash though, expect tonnes of lowballers lol.

Yeah, more than happy to provide both. Ideally would want the transaction done via BTC/RSGP unless the buyer was very trusted (paypal fees fuck me over hard). Was looking more for around 1.2k~ , but yeah I guess we'll see

Yeah agree with above posts, donate, gain couple recent vouches and badda-bing-badda-boom account sold

 

Just put it up on PA and here, and see what offers you get. Start high and just wait until the right buyers find you.

You also have to understand that it would be pretty stupid for someone to buy this from you. Way too much money to trust $1-2K with! But GL

 

Not to necro a dead topic, just to give an update. Sold the acc via player auctions with no issue. Got less than I initially wanted, but realized that the market is small, low Sythe rep relative to my offering and that having an account that I would have never played again sitting there was a waste of time to hold out for 100 to 150 extra usd.

Sold for around 1k usd on playerauctions and went smooth as. Hopefully this thread can serve as a future guide/bunch of tips for those wanting to do what I did!

how come playeractuions a lot of those accounts don't have pictures of stats or anything but title attached though

 

Yeah I'm not sure, I made sure to make mine look very good to stand out. I wouldn't buy something with any pictures haha
