A question about the runescape market...

As you have all seen, the market right now is pretty unstable. Prices are skyrocketing and then dropping because people realize it was just a hype. Other prices (of items that are commonly botted sometimes are still not going up) and I am puzzled by this.

1.) Do you guys think seeds will go back to where they were years ago before all of the sorc. garden bots and monster killing bots? Eg: ranarr seeds being 20-32k

2.) Why the hell is coal and many types of bars going down. I assume that most of the coal was botted in the past, so I am guessing that most of that coal was going to another type of bot. So is the demand for it just really low?

EDIT: Personally I am going to invest a good chunk of my bank into seeds because I can get them for so cheap. Even if I get screwed I can just farm them and still make a profit...

 

it will take time for some of the items to get back up cus the runescape market acts wierd :d

 

If you suddenly have a drop in supply then obviously some change will happen in the market.

 

I sold 15k Rocktails just because and I made profit because the prices dropped...its a parallel raw item...I dont get it.

 

1. The price drop of seeds wasn't only the sorcerers garden bots, although a good chunk of it was. The demand for seeds has simply dropped. There are many more pkers, slayers etc in game that buy prayer potions, super sets, etc, not the seeds to make them. You could argue that all those potions have to come from seeds, but surprisingly, there is a constant recycling of potions, due to the large number of looters looting them and selling back. Overall however, I do believe that the price will rise again because of the recent botnuke.

2. Short answer: Yes, the demand is pretty low.

Also, I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea and invest in some seeds myself ;P
