In your hard drive.
how do you? cuz i get an error when I try to append winsock to the tools... Im in VB6 btw if that helps. I've already tried typing in run "regsvr32 MSWINSCK.OCX" and that didn't work....

heres the error message I get in VB:

"License information for this component is not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment"

sorry but your an idiot, how is it going to register the OCX if the path isnt there? put it in windows > system32 and then do this

regsvr32 windows\system32\ocxname.ocx

something like that

if it says registered successfully you may be registereing a different ocx, make sure you only have one file in you system or at least one in the windows folder

you can also run this command directly from the system32 folder in a command window to make sure you are doing the right thing

still not working.... do you guys want the exact error message?

gee, it could fucking help....

your asking how to register an ocx, we told you and since it said succesfully registered then the ocx is registered, TO YOUR SYSTEM. but by the sound of the error your getting it means you have to buy the .ocx or something =\

Im starting VB in IPT at skewl... wish me luck... This forum might come in handy

lol if you don't specify a path, system32 is default.

If you get an error about it not having the license, then just google it and figure out how to get a license.
