[IRC] How to change your ident or GECOS using Chatzilla

Most likely when you join #sythe you will probably get something like this:

[b]YOU have been booted from #sythe by SytheBot (Learn to configure your client properly.)[/b]

To fix this you are going to have to change your Ident or GECOS. Mainly what is happening is you are joining the channel with:

Code:

[b]chatzilla[/b]@Sythe-1A4149DD.vic.bigpond.net.au

The Chatzilla part is whats getting you banned. Here is how to fix...

- Go to Chatzilla > Preferences > Global Settings > General
"Username" is your "Ident", and "Description" is your "GECOS"



So after doing that you should now have this:

[b]Cfrey[/b]@EF184E21.577FE872.C5FE47E4.IP * New Now Know How

This should help all Chatzilla users configure their client properly.
