Ever want to quote something funny or get some old vouches to put on your new thread or post, but the post you wanted to grab was in a locked or archived thread? Well, never fear! Because you can still quote it easily.

    Step 1:

Open up two instances of sythe.org:

Not required, but it will make your life a little easier.

    Step 2:

Get a quote from an open thread to act as a holder for the quote in the closed thread.*

    * alternatively you can use this template:

I like Mohs idea, this is quite a pain in the ass but its definitely cool it can be done at all lol. I have just been quoting people and then copy pasting the text into the quote from locked threads lol. That way they click the find link and get linked to something else lol.

Good find Mage, but we should be able to post after closed/locked threads in the first place. In the mean time ill use your workaround.

You can't copy the formatting or images from the post you are quoting, just whatever words are viewable. It's also cumbersome. Tbh, if I do need to quote a locked post, I just copy + paste with blank quote tags, then copy+paste the thread URL underneath it.

Still, it's handy for those who want really clean thread posts.

True, but the intention was more to grab little quotes and such.
