how to prevent getting locked accounts

hey guy's my questions pertains to when buying an account how can you make sure it does not get locked by jagex? i recently bought an account and it got locked the user did not try to recover it or anything. how can i prevent this from occurring again?

 

buy from trusted users (not chinese) and try to buy an account sold by the original owner, not one that has been passed around or sold alot.

 

yea, I did buy from a trusted user is there any like actual method?

 

If its between countries it's sometimes auto locked as a security measure. There is no known reason for accounts being locked, but a quick ticket from the original owner should get it unlocked for you.

 

thanks yea that's true. I was just wondering if theres any way to possibly avoid it maybe using a vpn?

 

Mostly the account won't just get locked.

 

Buy it from someone who lives in the same country as you (who is trusted aswell).

 

Usually it's the first time that you're on the account that it gets locked, that's Jagex making sure that your account is secure, it's not as if they're on to you for buying an account, so you're fine. It usually only happens the first time though.

 

Happens because of IP change. The more you play on it the less likely it is for it to get locked. Just don't change IP's a lot on it.

 

Are accounts more at risk now of being locked than a year ago? It seems like it's coming up more and more.
