Price estimate on a computer repair?

My space bar has become detached and I was wondering, hypothetically, about how much it would cost to have it repaired by a professional?

 

I'm assuming it's a laptop, else you get could a new keyboard(?), not much I'd estimate... If you still have a receipt you could get a free repair from whatever store.

 

Yes, its a laptop. Its an old computer so no warranty.

You all are wrong. Im a tech at bestbuy I replaced a spacebar for a customer a few days ago. The total cost 24.08... because we had to order out for the space bar replacement... the labor was 15$ lol

 

You could DIY and replace the spacebar with a block of wood. It's all pressy-shit anyway.

 

Do you have the spacebar? It will click back into place. How exactly is it broken? Please be more specific.

you should just be able to super glue it back in place. so it will cost like 2 dollars for the super glue

 

And then you can't use it. >.<

Anyways, if you were to take it to get repaired professionally they would probably order a whole new keyboard (or claim to) and it would probably be like $30 - $40.
Unless it is really obvious that you just need to reattach it then it may be cheap, maybe even free if you take it to the right place.

 

id just slap a usb keyboard in

or take one of ur other unused keys and snap it in one of the spacebars holes, there are 2 and most other keys use only 1
