    What Does it Mean?

Have you ever wanted to customize your desktop to the way YOU want?
Did you wonder why you can't put your icons in any spot that you want, maybe to make it less crowded, more pleasent or just easier to find?
Well, follow my guide, and by the time you are done reading, you will know how to move, arrange, rearrange, lock, auto arrange, and create fancy writing with the icons ;)
    Well, maybe not TOO fancy.

    First Things First...
    • Move icons freely, arrange in any way you want:
    1. Right Click on your desktop:

    2. Scroll up to "View" -> Scroll over to "Align icons to grid" which should already be checked.

    3. Uncheck the "Align icons to grid" - menu should disappear.

    4. Arrange/Rearrange your icons in any which way you want. Here is my example:

    Second on the Come Up...
    • Set your icons back into grid postion, so it doesn't look sloppy.
    1. Right Click on your desktop:

    2. Scroll up to "View" -> Scroll over to "Align icons to grid" which should be unchecked due to previous step. See "First Things First..."

    3. Check the "Align icons to grid" - menu should disappear.

    4. Your icons should be set to the nearest grid space, from my example (see above), it would look like this:

    Third, but not absurd...
    • Automatically arrange your icons, if too lazy to arrange by yourself :)
    1. Right Click on your desktop:

    2. Scroll up to "View" -> Scroll over to "Auto arrange icons" which should be unchecked.

    3. Check the "Auto arrange icons" - menu should disappear and your icons should automatically be arranged.

    Congratulations!

You can now Edit/Move/Arrange your desktop Icons!

I personally wouldn't need this type of thing, but props to you for spending the time to help the users who don't know how, hehe.

    Honestly a pointless 'guide'.

Considering the user is simply enabling/disabling a certain feature makes this pointless.

Thanks for the effort I guess.

Should mention this is for Windows 7!
Besides, I thought it's common sense.

Hmm I've wondered how people make those huge pictures using folders and stuff. Pretty nifty stuff.

Common knowledge; but trust me - I overestimate people.

Someone might not know this : P

Whilst I appreciate the effort in your guide, maybe printing it out and sticking it to shop windows, or possibly hand writing it would be more effective - any members of a forum (especially one which requires its members to be above the age of 13) would probably be able to organise their desktops. Windows also gives a tutorial of this just after installation, etc.

Also, this is assuming that every desktop is on the Windows OS. Older versions of Windows have desktops with different right click functions, and other operating systems work completely differently anyways.
