How to make lower MB size of file

Hello, i wanted to ask if anybody knows how to make size of gif avatar less then 1MB.
I made it but quality is getting alot worser then

 

have you tried uploading to the Ezgif site and removing frames?

 

smaller dimensions
fewer color count
lower frame count
higher lossy

quality will always take a hit when reducing file size, thats the whole idea. you need to keep file size in mind when designing things that will end up having a file size cap.
