100k+/hour - Farming

I will be honest this will be boring, and it might not work but it's a possibility. It's a multi step process. It will not be one of those moneymaking ways that will tell you to do something the entire time, or the moneymaking way where you'll plant only one thing. You have to plant two things at a time. If you're still interested well read on. I am sorry tho if there are any math mistakes as I just copied and pasted it from a guide I made on a different site and just updated the numbers so that part might have some mistakes. It was NOT RIPPED FROM SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK. I did the work, if you would like to make sure of that, mods PM me and I'll send you the link to it. I don't think you'd like me posting URL and saying the site name that is in my sig.
Follow these steps:

1. Buy Calquats from the Ge
   
2. Put the calquats in one of the 4 bins throughout Runescape.
   
3. Before you leave plant strawberries in allotments, and marigolds/limpwurts in the flower patches. You might even want to add some herbs.
4. While you wait for all of them to be done, it's best to pick Jangerberries.
5. After 17.5minutes come back and harvest the marigolds/limpwurts. You will do this about 3 times before having to check the compost and strawberries, and you have to do this routine 4 times before you can harvest the herbs that you have planted.
6. After you have waited an hour or done around 3 trips of farming and harvesting the allotments it will be time to check the compost bins. And get the supercomposts then bank. After that harvest your strawberries, bring basktes if you'd like.
7. And 10 minutes later if you planted any rannars it will be harvesting time.

Now for the math, if you planted in ALL the locations, and if you got all of them.

• Flower patch - you can only plant one type of "flower" per patch, 17.5 minutes per "flower"
  • Marigolds
    • 3,000 - Price of Marigolds
    • 4 - Number of flower patches
    • 3 - Number of times you can harvest a marigold in an hour
    • 84*3 - Cost per seed times the marigolds harvested
    (3000 * 4 * 3) - (84*3) = 35748 per hour.
    
  • Limpwurt roots
    • 781 * 5 - Price of Limpwurts times the average number or roots per harvest
    • 4 - Number of flower patches
    • 3 - Number of times you can harvest a marigold in an hour
    • 423 *3 - Cost per seed times the number of times Limpwurts are harvested
    ((781 * 5) * 4 * 3 ) - (423*3) = 45591 per hour
    
• Compost bins - it takes an hour for one bin to turn into supercompost
  • Super Compost
    • 47*4 - Price of Calquats times the number of bins in Runescape
    • 15 - Average buckets per bin
    • 530 - Price of super compost
    • 4 - Number of bins
    (530 * 15 * 4) - (47*4) = 31612 per hour.
    
• Herbs - For my own reasons I'll just do Rannars, it takes 70 minutes per patch
  • Rannars
    • 6,410 - Price per rannar
    • 4 - Number of Herb patches in Runescape
    • 25,000*4 - Price of seeds times number of seeds to be used
    • 6 - Average number of Rannars per patch
    ((6,410 * 6) * 4) - (25,000*4) = 53840 per hour
• Allotments - 50-55 minutes for every allotment
  • Strawberries
    • 50 - Price per strawberry
    • 15 - Average number of strawberries per patch
    • 2 - Number of allotments
    • 4 - Number of "farms" that hold the allotments
    • 21*2*4 - Price per seed times number of allotments in each "farm" times the number of "farms"
    (50 * 15 * 2 * 4) -(21 * 2 * 4) = 5832 per hour
    

If you had followed all of that, that means farming Marigolds, Rannars, strawberries and making the compost this will be your total for every 70 minutes:
5832 + 35748 + 53840 + 31612 = 127032

Darn, I thought I read it 100k farming exp per hour lol. (I was reading farming guides since I need lvl 65 fast).

Well, it is a nice guide. But if you are in members, 100k per hour is a waste of time.

You can also make SuperCompost with Pineapples.

 

thanks for guide but i thought u meant 100k xp/h... I was like wtf anyway looks like u doing it right... You can make super compost out of watermelons and pineapples... Pineapples are available (40 per day) from guy in catherby.. can't remember his name (the general store guy).. at 2gp each.. If you make supercompost, its worth buying off him.

 

This is a okay method but its too long for just 120k an hour.

 

Farming is one of my favorite skills. Thanks for making this even though the money making is a bit slow. But Hey! It id farming.

 

I was expecting 100k xp/hr. But this is just as good, interesting guide, didn't know Marigolds were profitable.

Since it's Farming, you can leave and do other things such as combat training or monster killing, etc. while they grow.
