How to Make a Cheap and Efficient Bong

There have been many guides written on making "Bongs". But they usually contain materials hard to come buy or isn't so easy to make if your 14 Living with your parents. So I am writing this guide for all audiences. This guide is simple enough to make for any age.
Will Add Pictures if this guide receives good criticism.

How to Make a Home-Made Bong.
(It Will Help to See a Real Bong First)

Materials:

• 1 Water Bottle
• 1 Pen(Fatter Pen Holds More Bud)
• 1 Pin/Needle
• 1 Lighter(For Lighting the Bud and alternative step)
• A Pair of Scissors/Box Cutter(Something to Make a Hole)
• Some Tin Foil

Steps:

1) Take Your pen and start to take it apart. Take out the front and the back cap. Including the Ink,spring and anything else in It. You should only have the Pen Casing. This will be your downpipe.

2) Take your scissors or whatever you have to make a hole, and pick up your bottle. Now about slightly lower then half of the bottle you should make a hole(About 2 1/5 Inches from the bottom). Make sure the Hole and just big enough to fit your Downpipe(You should have to MAKE your Pen Fit), and make sure the pen can touch the bottom of the bottle and the other half sticks out.Insert the pen into the newly made hole.Make sure its slanted and almost/nearly touches the bottom of the bottle.

2a) This is the alternative method and much better. Take your lighter. And keep the heat about 1 1/2 inches from the bottle(where you want your hole). This was change the temperature of the bottle whereas it will start to bend.It should only bend slight about 20 Degrees. This will cause the downpipe to easily slant into the bottom. Now bring the fire closer to the plastic to burn a hole. BUT DONT LET IT SIT FOR LONGER THEN 2 Seconds. This will cause your hole to be really big. Just make a small hole and push your downpipe through for a tight fit. This method easier and extends the bongs life span.

3) On the opposite side of the hole you just made you will take the scissors again and make a smaller hole. Not really small but small enough for your finger to cover. Make sure it is near the top. Not near the Top of the bottle but 1 1/2 inch lower then the neck.(The neck is under the cap of the bottle)

4) Now take some Foil and make a bowl type bowl. It should be only big enough to fit on top of your pen. This is where you will insert your weed and light. Make sure you make 2-3 Holes into the foil with your needle so smoke and go into the bottle. This is called your Bowl.

5) Now Fill the bottle with water so the downpipe is underwater. Don't fill it fully.

Congratulations, you have successfully made you home-made bong. Keep in mind a Store brought one is better but this one serves its purpose just great.

How does a bong work and wats the water for I have never seen one before.....

 

If you ever smoked weed from a Joint/Blunt you would know that you'd have to take a pull.
Pull=Inhaling through your mouth with the Joint in it.
Basically like smoking a cigerette.
The longer the pull/The longer you hold the smoke in, the better.

A Bong works differently.
I Don't know what exact way.
But the water basically pulls the Bud for you.
When you light the bud then inhale through the top the water bubbles and pulls the bud.


Someone who know better please explain for him lol.

 

Basically, when you light it, you don't want to inhale just yet. You want to suck enough to get the smoke through the water and into the chamber (make sure your finger is still over the carb (hole in the bottle that you put your finger over)) When enough smoke is in the chamber, you take your finger off the carb and inhale. Rinse and repeat.

i do this sometimes when with friends 8/10 on the guide, make a picture of the finished bong for the noobies.

 

ROFL i was reading this and it was saying about jabbing apen through, i was thinking "i should suggest using a lighter" then i saw you said to do that XD. yeah this is exactly how i make bongs, BUT 1 different thing is that for the bowl head, i take a socket wrench, those things on the end that are interchangeable, yeah, i took one of those, lined it with a piece of screen door/window for a filter and put some clay in between the end of the pen and my make shift bowl head so it's air-tight. works great, oh and i use it for everything, i switch it from my gravity to my waterfall to my waterbong all the time.

 

i live in canada and there no age limits on buying pipes, bongs, papes. ;D

Just a warning that most home made methods are highly dangerous, some being poisonous and whatnot, be careful.

Very nice guide, pictures would be wonderful. A friend told me about this when I lost my pipe, I think one of my asshole friends took it, but I haven't really found a good guide to tell me how to do it. I'll be looking forward to pictures if you post some.

 

I usally just stick with rolling jays and if im all out of papers i just use recpits. I also own a glass one hitter so thats plan B. Bongs are fun especially when your smoking with a large group of friends though.

hey tgi, everyones asking for pics, you want me to get some for you this weekend? i'll make a bong according to this guide if you want

 

its a pretty good guide but u shuld add pics =o

 

anyone tried a reverse gravity bong? its even simpler than a regular one and hits pretty hard.

just get a bottle, poke a hole about .5 in near the bottom (but still on the side of the bottle).

cut a hole in the cap and place a bowl ontop.

fill the whole bottle with water and cover the hole you made in the bottom with your finger, and light the bowl.

while lighting slowly release your finger, letting water pour out and smoke should be filling the bottle.

when the water is all gone and the bowl is full of ash, take off the cap/bowl and put your mouth over the neck and WALLAH

 

called a waterfall bong
