o to a non-populated area on RuneScape (eg. Falador, Draynor) and follow your friend. 
Scrutinize the movement of your character after they make a movement.

you. If a character does not lag when the follow another character,
 then they have a lower PID (Player ID) and will get the first hit in stakes.
Having a lower PID is an advantage; it means your character’s movements will register faster than that of your opponent’s.
Every time you log in, Runescape assigns you a specific PID. This “PID” can be between 1 and 2000,
 no player can have the exact same PID.
