How to let it go..

Today i was scammed for the first time ever in a very long time, (First time ever on here)
By a $100 donor, i know that really dosn't mean much but yeah, i lost a total wealth for about 20-30m and i can't get over the fact that it happend, The user was legit black mailing me on giving him more gold otherwise he would ruin my 1 def pure, Thankfully a guy named @Away Helped me out and got me to kick him off my account before he could do anything.
How can i get over this? im very concerned on this happening again!
I rewarded @Away with some 07 gold in return for helping me save countless hours.
What can i do to just let this scam go.

Unless you have any evidence to provide it is a he-said-she-said ordeal, right? The best advice I think anyone here could give you is going to sound cliche, but that is to simply live and learn. Some of the best learning you will make in life is through mistakes. I'll give you a personal example: I just went on vacation and believed it would be okay to purchase my rental car after I got out of the airport, instead of pre-booking online weeks in advance. I ended up paying $1,100 dollars for that rental car (four cylinder POS practically owned 1/10 of the cars total value after that). Point is, I learned a very costly lesson and will always pre-book in advance. From this you will learn some costly lessons: 1) Even if a user is a donor does not necessarily mean they will not scam you 2) you will use higher secure methods for future trades.

Honestly be grateful that it was only 20m-30m. Check out the scammers section, someone who was very trusted on this site scammed multiple people for 1k+. Imagine losing that much money?... just be very happy it was a cheap lesson compared to what it could of been.

 

Man, That is true. I dont even want to imagine that. Freaking nightmare that would be.

 

Man i know, my heart hurts for those 2 people... really hope sythe could possibly get together and do something for them. it's crazy

It's very sad to read that ... Report the user so he does not do it to another person (I guess you already did this), The best thing is to look for ways to relax, try to stop thinking about it, give yourself a few days maybe out of RuneScape (If it's not like a daily "Work" and you depend a lot on this) and come back with good vibes to stay in business!

 

Be grateful it's only a small amount.
Further, it's not exactly chump change so it'll be enough to make you more cautious in the future and it's a good life lesson, not everyone has morals/there are desperate people around.
