Bot -> Perm ban?

Hey,

If you are banned for botting these days, is it immediately a perm ban or just a 2-week, or 1 month or so? I'm not botting major stuff, only doing RC.

It depends, and I'm not quite sure how they choose it.
They could also choose for halving your skills, a temp ban (3 days, 7 days or a month)
Or indeed forever.

No idea how they choose that either, but you should be fine.
There are barely reports from people getting banned in 2012..

Would it be safe to bot 24/7 for a week or so (at runespan)? Or should I do like 15-20 hours a day?

 

you can bot 24/7 but its a higher chance of getting caught, I suggest that you take like 30 minutes to an hour break of botting.

 

Ive heard of people getting caught botting doing runespan moreso than anything/anywhere else, in fact i havent heard of ANY other bans.. a mod recently said they arent going to be banning individual accounts any longer and are going to be IP banning from now on. This all may just be scare tactics on jagex's part

 

To anyone who says anything bad about botting runespan is an idiot. Just go onto world 39 and you can see that majority of people start siphoning the same node as @ the same time (ive botted x2 99's there). Not to mention the real players there are afking it and are not very active talking anyway. Player mods are there all the time on islands 13 - 15 right beside me and the other +20 bots on one island. Not to mention your chances of getting reported are lower because they need more people to make nodes last longer. Majority of people are glad bots are there helping them anyway.

 

This. You can't take nod's word for what he's heard.

The only players that can really do anything to these bots are jmods, they sometimes manually perm ban accounts. It's extremely unlikely, the last time I saw it happen was when Suomi asked a jmod to do so.

 

If you are banned can't you just pay like 30$ and they will unban you?

 

About how long did you bot daily? Or did 24/7?

 

Sorry I never replied to that. I bot for about 15 hours a day on the accounts. Never 24/7 that's just asking for trouble imo. Im currently botting another 99 rc and im at 92 now. See you on world 39

 

I'm hopping to world 39 right now ^_^. I was doing 119 until now cause island 13 had tons of people there, alot of bots too.

 

I hoped over to the soul esseraith island (cant remember the #) the "bloody skull" island wasnt getting good nodes anymore.

 

Does my ping matter while botting here at Runespan? In W119 I have 20 ping and on 39 I got 120. What would be a better place then? There were also alot of people in W119 but not as much though.

 

Not sure how it is at the moment, but my pure got caught for botting last year and got a perm-ban, and my main got caught and he just got a rollback.

Ping doesnt matter. Trust me world 39 is the place to be.

 

Yeah I just noticed, I'm currently getting 75k-80k/h on world 39 and I had 70-75 on 119. Just got to 77 also .

Also another question, which bot do you use? I use RupoRunespan, it does all random's perfectly for me except the ones with the balloons.

 

WTF is RupoRunespan?

Im using powerbot and on SudoRunespan. It does them all but the maze and prison pete.

Ip banning? They wont be ip banning anyone. Where are you getting this information from? If there are banning anyone, its f2p accounts. Once the bot nuke comes I think they will only be stopping the bots, and not give out any bans. As the last bot nuke, not a lot of people were banned. I'd say 1 and every 100 botter was banned. They don't want to ruin their source of income. It's just bad business.

 

usually you get a 2 week ban first, and then you could get a RWT perm ban.
