How to keep your Computer clean and safe

Tired of having slow and unprotected computer? You won't expierence it problem ever again!

I will give you several steps which will help you to protect and clean your computer.

    Let's start.

Clean your computer by deleting old, not needed files (some of them you do not even see).

To do this, you need to take these steps :

Go to Programs - Accesories - System Tools - Disc Defragment (It is for windows only, do this atleast once in a month).

The other ways to keep your computer clean
delete all not needed files, uninstall all not needed programs, perform the disc clean up (Accesories - System Tools).

You will find one more cool thing in the System Tools section, its name is a Restore Backup, if you expierence a serious problem with your computer - use it, it helped me with very serious problems when I was not sure what to do, you will get back in time and will probably overcome your computer problem (it will not delete/change any documents). :)

    Let's go further.

    Download CCleaner program

    This is how it looks

CCleaner is a system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. The best part is that it's fast and easy to use.

It helps very much, so use it at least twice a month.

    Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    This is how it looks

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware can detect and remove malware that even the most well known anti-virus and anti-malware applications fail to detect. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware monitors every process and stops malicious processes before they even start.

    Features

    Light speed quick scanning.

Ability to perform full scans for all drives.

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Protection Module.

Ignore list for both the scanner and Protection Module.

A small list of extra utilities to help remove malware manually.

    Multi-lingual support.

Works together with other anti-malware utilities.

Command line support for quick scanning.

Context menu integration to scan files on demand.

And the last suggestion, use Nod32 or Kaspersky antivirus program (run a full scan every week/month), these anti-virus programs finds the most viruses, good luck :)

Good guide, useful for your computer dummies who can't keep their computers clean... You should also add in how to separate different files into categories like I do, like one folder for music, one for software and so on. Makes things much easier to find.

How to keep your Computer clean and safe

    Hello.

You might want to show pictures and examples of what exactly 'crap' is.

I suggest making a list of the 'many many other things' and the other problems.

Rather than having one picture for all the steps, I would have a picture/screenshot of every step needed to keep your PC clean and safe.

I also noticed that you added some other links that will help with this guide. I would thoroughly explain the steps needed to keep your PC clean.

I still believe that this guide is not completely finished, and as long as you put more effort and take feedback in a positive way, you'd have a great shot as a User Educator and writing future guides.

    Hope that I helped. :)

I have said ''other'' crap, these programs detect it, it detects lots of unknown files which are not needed.

About Ccleaner, I have listed the most popular things, I can not list all of them, there is too many of them.

There is no pictures needed because there programs are easy to use, I want to have a simple guide, when pictures are needed - I upload them.

And every paragraph written in different colour is a step, thanks :)

    No. Pictures are needed.

It does not matter if you want to have a simple guide, which is totally the opposite of what people want to see. You should add pictures so people can understand your guides better. Seeing as they are very small and do not have much detail. These guides may seem simple for you, but you have to understand they are not simple for everybody, especially the way you are explaining them.

I understand what you are saying, but I am expierenced with these programs and if I would need to add the pictures I need to add many of them and to write a guide book about these programs, they are very simple, so no pictures needed, try using these programs before commenting, it is scan programs, you push scan - remove malware/bad files and that's all.

Your guide is too short. It gives a basic overview of the programs, but it's lacking. You should add pictures and crop them better. It's a good start to a guide however.
